He's awesome!! :thumbsu:

last night on ch9 Thommo said, "that's 150 games without injury", to which pav replied, "oh there have been injuries, I've just been lucky enough to have good support and good physios to help me stay out there."

He is remarkably courageous in that he has often played with his shoulders popping out, and needing to be popped back in during the game, as well as major surgery during the off-season while still continuing to front up each season racking up AAs and Doigs at will.

He truly is phenomenal... :)

Not a bad milestone 150 in a row. In fact he has only missed one game since his debut in racking up 180 games, which is also a pretty good effort in itself.

It is a huge effort in todays version of AFL.

Two questions spring to mind:

Has he ever played WAFL?

In his time at Freo do you think there has ever been a time when he should have been dropped?

I severely doubt it. I didn't watch much of Freo in 2000 so I can't say whether he should have missed out then. 2001 was a shocker so he deserved to play. Since then he has been All-Australian just about every year.

Greatest ever Freo player by a country mile.

AFAIK - and I'm not sure cos I was living o/s at the time, but I believe he played a few games for Souths back in 2000.

The guy had to had have TWO shoulder reconstructions after one season (i think 2006 when he couldn't mark above his head for the last couple of games?)

What sort of excuse is that?

I give you a lead in for his kicks/marks/handballs over his entire career and what do we get......?

Surely he was a Shark....... or wanted to be one.

We only produce quality. :thumbsu:

He's a Shark now (obviously felt sorry for them... :p). I do know he was named in the South Freo All-Croatian team a few years back (yes they named one!), so he must've played a couple of games for Souths back in 2000.

Indeed he did.

Then debuted at the WACA (can't remember who against) and kicked 2 goals with his first 2 kicks IIRC.

Pav played just the 1 game for South but was naturally happy with being home at Fremantle Oval. After he got re-allocated to East Freo he vowed never to play in the WAFL again. So I guess his disdain for playing with the blue and whites has made him the player he is today.;)
