I went in an pre ordered the lithograph today. Looks awesome.

I also like the other option of the logo changes.

They also have the 150th year player worn and signed jumpers for auction. They have 32 players' names up, so interesting how they can claim "warn" if they don't play.
Gary Ablett's is already sitting at $1,200 after 3 bids

Tell me that is the giant head picture of Sam, top 4th from right!

hmmm... don't mind them, but I reckon the match worn jumpers are better personally. After all, there will be only 22 in TOTAL and only 1 for each player. Plus, they were actually used in an official match. Much more valuable IMO.

Has anyone noted our 150 years is book-end by two Toms?

A little bit of a quibble with the main item, its great that it shows the club right through from Tom Wills to Tom Harley, but going through the images of the premiership cups which correspond year by year, has the club forgotten about the seven premierships we attained in the VFA? If you're going to look at history prior to the VFL, then those trophys should count.

Agreed, spot on Jim Boy. 150th year of the Geelong Football Club, including close to four decades in the VFA.

Most likely I'll grab a guernsey, the book and the DVD.

I don't know why we don't include them in our tally...it was the premier senior competition of the code for a significant period of time.

I'm hanging out for the book and the DVD but that's all I can afford.

Shelled out for framed Brownlow and premiership memorabilia, which looks great, but was pricey. Will save my $$$ in case something special happens in September again :thumbsu:

Give us an interesting, colourful and well-written history and I'll be happy. Tony Grieg can keep everything else.

I hope Scott Gullan hasn't been let anywhere near it.

Although 'The Mission' was an interesting read, it was littered with grammatical and punctuation errors. I had to fight the urge to get my red pen out while reading it. I was truly amazed at how poorly written it was. I mean, he's a journalist! Writing is his job!

Anyway, I'll be in the market for a history book. Hopefully someone's had the time to proof read it!

Maybe Col Hutchinson will do a new and updated version of 'Cats Tales'

Have to admit I was aiming my standards a bit higher than that - I was hoping for something that transcends the usual footy cliches that littered The Road to Kardinia and footy history in general.

But yes, one that was above Uni standard would be nice. :p

And Cat Tales was published in '84, and only covers the clubs time in the VFL.

Much more expensive. Gary Ablett already 1,200...

Thats Gaz. Doesn't mean they'll all go that high. I'd be happy to pay $1,000, and I think thats better value for money that $700 for the litho. But thats just my opinion...

I'll be VERY surprised if the Gaz jumper goes for less than 10k

I''ll be getting the guernsey (love the design, just don't like the 150 number on the back), the book and the dvd.

Thought of this today when I was checking out the Players Stand.

Pleasingly the pre-1897 premierships (and players!) are acknowledged on the player honour board.
