Nah, it’s a business, and players know if you’re not consistent and always improving, game for game, then it’s VFL at best. If you’re lucky.

So when players go back to VFL and they’re not having great consistent games, then you’ll struggle to crack best 22.

It’s a cycle of players coming and going all the time.

The reason we stuck by gumbleton was because of his high pick number, same with Myers. They sort of are obliged to stand by potential high picks getting their act together, That’s about it.

Hopefully he plays on somewhere or finds something cool to go on with.
