30 touches of Birchall's to be as useful as 10 of Jones'?
If Birchall gets the ball he does something with it, he's the exactly the type of player you don't want getting the ball 30 times.
Relies on his team mates to get it for him? Laughable, on a lot of different levels.
Mainly because receivers don't just stand around waiting for the ball, they run the right spots and time it to perfection in order to then move it on, whilst also choosing which areas to attack. Also laughable to suggest Birchall is purely an outside player who doesn't get involved in pressure situations.
What is with North Melbourne supporters and having no idea about Birchall?
You guys are pretty funny.Jones is the better player pure and simple. Birchall has to have 30 possies just to have the same effect as what 10 from Jones would have.
People get too carried away with stats. Birchall is a good player, but depends too much on his mates getting him he pill, whereas Jones has the ability to win his own and do some damage.
