Very happy with the overall result , would have like another defender late but i can live with what we drafted

hislop? really is he a good get is he better then shaun grigg? im happy with 3 all australians with our first 3 picks. Davey aged 22 was a massive call i think and i hope houli doesnt keep fasting so he can put some body mass on. We certainly love our WA boys lately.

"Tested well for agility and had some reasonable Championship performances. At 183cm he is AFL height and has versatility in his corner having played all over the ground. All-Australian at under-16 and a member of the Academy which will certainly bring him under consideration."

we have recruited one of the best defenders in the comp who is only 29, gumby could also play there and i guess hislop could play down there as a smaller defender. and we could get daniher as father son next year its cool. we just address our midfield rotation deficiencies with hardness and skill. I hope jetta is half the player Mcleod is or even kerr.

I might just have taken the last photos of Gumbleton ever as a WAFL player on the ground after the last Peel Thunder H&A game in August.

Could they be worth sumthing in years to come when he becomes a champion for us.

Gumbleton will go from a lowly WAFL club in rural Perth that has only one noted AFL player worth mentioning on the list (Freo's James Walker) to Essendon, where the kid can now get some tips on how to improve his forward line play off some average players like Hird,Lloyd and Lucas

Glad former WCE Chris Waterman was coaching Peel this year instead of Gary Hocking last year. Waterman would have taught him a few tricks to shake a close checking backman.

I'm F-cking rapt for our picks.Worth the shocker of a 2006 season.

I'm pretty happy with the way we went, but only a tiny bit disappointed we didn't go after another tall defender as we could always use a bit more depth down there, especially as Fletcher is nearing the end of a great career.
