I've been a bit quiet around here mate so thought I would come out of the shadows with a bang.

I always do one stupid thing every season in SC. In 2009 I accidently traded out T.Walker for Sidebottom instead of Hentchel who was injured due to a massive hangover that I had and Walker goes and scores 133 that week and I thought I had traded away a potential superstar.

Lucky he went back to his spud self the week after. LOL!

Trying to remember the stupid trade I did last year. I know I did a potential one in getting Jarrod Blair in as cover for Ablett not playing. Everyone said that Blair wouldn't hold his spot and it was a wasted trade but he did end up playing most of the remaining games once he got picked.

Also did the mandatory JKT and Gysberts trades but wasn't alone there. LOL!

I just remember that I traded Shuey out for Blair I think and then Shuey all the sudden comes back the week after when I thought he wouldn't play again for the season due to his Glandular fever. Bit unlucky there.

+1, that is why some were hesitant of Curnow due to the Gyberts' factor

Gysberts would have stayed in the side Prompts. He just got injured (think it was his back) which is why we never saw him again.

JKT was the one with the job security issues playing in a Hawks team with a strong midfield and with stars that were due to return. Was a shocking trade in hindsight.

Damn it, traded Ward out (90) for Libba (70), but almost went Curnow (92). I guess I wouldn't have been alone though...

I went Gaff -> Libba and Conca -> Curnow.

I'm not unhappy with that, can't see Gaff being a steady player this season and Conca hasn't started too well scoring wise.

I did the conca to cunrow trade as well but I think you might regret the gaff trade. He has been a sub but cutting it up when he comes on. I reckon he will cement a place soon and rack up some scores.

Curnow will be more consistent than Libba and worth getting in for next week if you have a mid to high price midfielder who's going below average, it could be a $200,000-$300,000 investment

This shouldnt be the worst trade for the overall yr(fingers crossed) but its got to be up there on the weekly ones,
IN: Swan(108), Libba (71)
OUT: Rockliff(163), Boak(100)
Im spewing, probably would of held on to rockliff after that, but i supose i needed to get swan in and libba will make some $,
Still pissed off though!

What to do with a problem like Harbrow? As we dont want to burn trades early is it worth just holding on to him and waiting or is now the time to bite the bullet and say fuuuuuuuu

Round 4 Trades

Really considering trading Bruce out but I just can't seem to convince myself it's for the best of my team.

Thinking -
Out: Bruce, Knights
In: Hibberd, Rioli, 50 or 100k (not sure)

Hibberd to use with Heppell and co as DPP (looking ahead to round 6 with Lower, Broughton, Bruce in my backs), Rioli before he goes up and 100k is handy.

Means i accept I was wrong with both Bruce and Knights and burn 2 trades. Thoughts?

It would make the decisions easier if Hibberd was named next week, but after today's win..unlikely..not ..

I understand the logic behind your move..so by making the move in effect u are making cash with jumping on Rioli before his rise..so maybe..

For me - finding a way to get Astbury out of my team would be nice..what a terrible pick by me

May have to ditch Irons.

With Montagna and Liberatore starting in my mids and Bewick on the bench, I'm going to be 3 midfielders down next week. I've got Curnow on the bench but it also means I NEED another midfielder for cover. Enter Irons, who will likely get dropped this week, giving me a 0.

Will probably bring in Prestia who was impressive this week, is yet to raise in price, gives me MPP eligablity and also saves a donut.

Yeah I'm considering Stevie J to Rioli.
I thought SJ might have been an interesting semi unique choice and that he would go up a level this season, but so far it seems to be more of the same from him. Rioli just looks too good to leave out.

I think with the 4 extra trades this year you can afford 1 or 2 sideway trades. Whether that be swapping a premium that hasn't turned out quite as good as you thought or fixing up rookies.

I'm contemplating pulling the trigger on Broughton. The only problem is I haven't seen much of Freo this season so I'm not sure of the reasons for his lower scores.

Any Freo fans got any info for me?

With St Kilda, Western Bulldogs & Brisbane, All having a bye. I'm guessing you've all got players from these 3 teams, What players do you have from these teams? Who are you gonna sub on for them ? And are you going to have to make any trades to make sure you have 22 players playing?

Bruce GONE for H.Shaw or a cheapy (Suckling, Watson, McKernan or B.Smith).

Then might upgrade Green to Chapman or Pavlich, however Melb play the Gold Coast.

Hopefully I'll calm down by Friday...

Round 4 and a 3 team bye

Just wondering how you will use your trades at the end of the third round. This week we have 3 teams, St Kilda Bulldogs and Brisbane all with a bye, so what is your tactic because we all, well most of us, should have Goddard and Reiwoltd . So do you trade 2 of them out? or keep them?

I for one am predicting scores this week to drop across the board and personally I am going to keep my players.
