Re: Round 4 Trades

Hi guys my only advice is to use 2 trades this week. It is important to use all of your trades ASAP, the more sideways the trade the better :D

No wonder it's so easy to get into the top 1000 this year :o

Re: Round 4 Trades

Will probably go Gamble to Prestia or Mckernan to free up cash and get that spud off my bench

i got rid of him last week and feel much better about myself

Re: Round 4 Trades

Really considering trading Bruce out but I just can't seem to convince myself it's for the best of my team.

I've got him but I'm going to keep him, I'm going to give him a chance to get better. Still it seems strange to recruit a guy like him and use him as a sub, does anyone know if he has any injury worries?

Re: Round 4 Trades

can someone please post alan didak's new price.

Cheers

$458,700 -45,600

i've got him and am just gonna hope he averages 100 throughout the season

Re: Round 4 Trades

1 trade this week me thinks. N Krakouer > R Tarrant. Krak has been woeful and subbed twice. Neither have had their price rise yet so would pocket $85k.

Thoughts?

Re: Round 4 Trades

Considering Bruce > Adcock/Hurley/Suckling. Not sure which one yet

i've got adcock and if he can stay uninjured he will be a great pick up. i brought him on thinking h will get injured at some point in the year and when he does i'll upgrade him to a true premium.

the problem bringing him in this week is the bye. you might have to consider league/overall & coverage

Re: Round 4 Trades

I think I will part ways with Liam Anthony and bring in Curnow or Pittard

Re: Round 4 Trades

Michael Coad (GC - $123,700, ave. 84, 1 game)
Shaun McKernan (ADE - $110,200, ave. 69.5, 2 game [MPP DEF/FWD])
Brode Smith (ADE - $123,700, ave. 67, 2 game)
Danny Stanley (GC - $117,700, ave. 59.5, 2 game)

Out of those four I'd take Smith, he started in the midfield on the weekend and picked up 86, coad also looks promising but wait and see if with selection.

Re: Round 4 and a 3 team bye

Hey guys just after some advice on what to do with my side, has a lot of upside w improvement but where i start with that outside of injuries, is doing my head in !? eek.....

Backs - Gibbs, Lids, Hurley, Broughton, Grimes, Lower, Duigan; int - Otten, Hibberd, Toy.

Mids - Swan, Cotchin, A Swallow, D Harris, D Swallow, J Selwood; int - Boyd, Atley, Wallis.

Rucks - Sandilands, Jolly; int - Z. Smith, Derrickx.

Forwards - Franklin, Goodes, Tapscott, Darling, Krak, Knights, Prestia; int - Higgins, N Riewoldt, I. Smith

Outside of the cash cows i'd be looking to making 1-2 upgrades each week in the next month; have only used one trade & about 50k in the kitty.

footnote: am trying to keep one player per club on each line, to save minimal headaches with the bye.

Any thoughts please.....

Should of already got rid of Hibberd and I Smith IMO

Re: Round 4 Trades

Don't know what to do with Shannon Hurn. He is averaging 70 so far, and is currently sitting in an awkward price range (~380k). Do I wait it out a few rounds and trade to an underperforming premium, bite the bullet now and trade to Suckling or just keep in the side hoping he will improve.

Same goes for Robbie Gray.

Re: Round 4 Trades

Thinking going
Gwilt>Enright
Stevie J>Rioli
One is sideways, but I want roil and can't see anyone else I'm my forwards that won't make money or be a keeper
And the other I have to get rid of Gwilt and already have Goddard Gibbs and grimes, had a look at adcock and suckling but I didn't really want to go to sideways and thought I should bring in another keeper
Thoughts?

Thanks buddy

Think I might just hold off the trade. Surely there will be more guys playing by the time a trade is truly required.

May save myself a couple of trades now and go from there.

I haven't checked out Tarrant's B/E or his average but if he's going well I'd definitely jump on board. It's worth doing one or two corrective changes if cheap players aren't working out as well as you like.

I like both of these changes. Rioli's looking really good this year, and Gwilt to Enright is an additional keeper.

Re: Round 4 Trades

Geez Montagna is annoying me. This is the first year I've started with him in the last 3 years and just my luck, he starts slowly!
Can't see myself trading him out though. Would be a pretty silly sideways trade. Surely he will bounce back into some form soon?! (Someone please reassure me here...)

Interested to hear what people are thinking of doing with Adelaide pair Otten and Knights? Both have failed to impress and seem to be a bit of a waste at the moment, especially Knights who is $237,000 and averaging 66.

I've considered trading him down for Darling but WC have the bye next week... Maybe Prestia?

Hmmm. Why can't it be Friday already?!

I have both, and will be keeping them until after rd 6 where I will either keeping them as they are earning me $$$ or using them in an upgrade to a premium forward/defender using one of my 3 midfield cash cows (Libba, Harris, Swallow, Curnow)

I mean Otten's BE is 12 and Knights is 26, and both have the potential to score as well, if not better than the other available cash-cows in their price range. You chose them for a reason so stick with them ATM IMO. I mean who are you going to trade them out for (assuming you already how Tapscott/McKernan and Lower/Duigan???

As for myself, I have no injury concerns and enough cover on my bench so I won't be looking to make any trade this week. Rioli will be coming in for Riewoldt, Duigan for Gilbert (who isn't scoring great anyway), Curnow will take his rightful place back on the field from Libba and Coad can come in for Goddard. Hopefully Toy will be selected to play this week (and Coad retains his spot) and it will mean I still have at least 1 bench player/position (Toy, Harris and Swallow, Smith, McKernan)

Yeah to be honest that is your best option right now, besides if pederson keeps getting games he will probably be a good pickup anyway.

Was named second best in the VFL yesterday, so he could potentially play again, if he does score well again he may be a decent cash cow. Just need him to play games.

Re: Round 4 Trades

I have a rather complicated issue. Here are my trading options this week:

(I have $600k in the bank so money is no issue)
- Montagna or Rich > Swan (to avoid a donut)
- S.Buckley or Gwilt > Adcock, Murphy, McKernan, Heppel, or Suckling
- Fraser or Sandilands (injury?) > Z.Smith or D. Cox
- Yarran or Matera > Chapman, Rioli, or Dawes

Which two trades should i do?

I would hold onto Montagna, he should come good. Had more 150's than most other mids last year so should eventually come good. So perhaps go Rich > Swan

Not sure why you have both Gwilt and S.Buckley, probably trade out Buckley as Gwilt is in the Saints best 22 so trade him down to McKernan who will increase in price this week.

I would not trade either of the ruckmen out, both will play if fit (which I think they are, Sandilands copped an eye gough but should be right for this week.

Whilst I would trade out Matera (presuming you said cash was no problem) and upgrade him to one of the absolute premiums you have mentioned.

Hope this helps.

Bringing in McKernan probably isn't the best idea. Tippet came back on the weekend and his McKernans game time went down dramatically along with his score. Might not hold his spot in the coming weeks.

Re: Round 4 Trades

For me - finding a way to get Astbury out of my team would be nice..what a terrible pick by me

I know the feeling, unfortunately I have more pressing matters :(

I missed lockout and couldn't bring in Curnow, which has kinda thrown my plans out. Not sure whether I should trade to bring in Curnow, or give him a miss and fix Astbury (with B. Smith/Watson) and I. Smith (with Prestia) and maybe jump on Liberatore next week (he has a bye this week). Thoughts?

McKernan is a gamble, but I can see him holding his spot for a bit. Even when Jacobs comes in I reckon Maric will get dumped before him.
