Thanks mate. This has defiantely made all the late nights, early mornings, close matches, chokes, almost chokes, shanked forehands, following live scores etc. all worth it. I got to say I had tears in my eyes when she was 6-2, 5-3 up and again when holding that trophy, just couldn't believe it, it was just simply a once in a lifetime performance. Nobody could expect Sam to come out there at that stage and play like that, she simply thrashed Serena Williams in a grand slam final. Not even in my dreams did I think that was possible, it was so clean, just a true champion performance. Apart from Serena serving poorly it wasn't Serena losing, it was Sam winning that match on her terms. Just the increase in confidence after her poor performances at RG and Wimby is another thing as well, just really seemed like she was destined for the title here especially after what happened at RG 2010.
So proud of you Sammy! Enjoy it, you have worked hard enough for it

Williams should be suspended for her pathetic performance, insulting the umpire. Absolute disgrace, and a blight on the game of tennis if she gets away with it.

Brilliant, brilliant performance form Stosur. I do not have the same emotional attachment as you guys as I am English, but I was cheering and clapping and willing her to win.

I am elated for Sam, actually lost for words and it was a bit emotional watching her win. This is just an amazing day to be an Australian who loves tennis.
To think Sam had done so ordinarily in all the GS this year, then to come out and get this one is such a great effort mentally.
