In all honesty, I am most convinced Garner will be a player out of him, Harper and Mckenzie.

I think he has had a sensational year in the VFL, getting 20+ touches a game regularly. He is very physical and once he develops more of a frame will be a very hard match up.

His first year has been better than the other 2 I would have thought. My only query on him as opposed to the other 2 (esp Mckenzie) is his disposal.

Purely from u18 footage and his VFL performances, he struck me as a lively aggressive player. But don't know or recall hearing him kicking bags? a la Harper's 4 goal u18 game where he was doing trick shots from all angles.

Comment was specifically about his scoring ability.

Fwiw McKenzie is showing a lot of more balance to his game than I expected.

I am pretty sure he kicked 3 on the Luke Mac in one of the games. That was the most he kicked I think.

That was weird footage that game. To my eyes Luke completely owned him but reports were they broke even.

If you watch the whole game, LMac was matched to Garner in the first half and got beaten. Garner was very involved in the contest and took some good marks on him.

In the second half, Garner didn't have as good delivery as metro took over the midfield. I think LMac got taken off him and was playing more loose and on a wing and got involved a bit more.

I reckon that's why the highlights appeared deceptive. From the times I've seen Garner, he appears less of a forward pocket and more of a high half forward.
