Can't see us even beating Fremantle let alone finishing above them.

Freo are in a bad spot. They have a lot of old players and not enough young talent coming through. IMO their premiership window is over, with this year being their last proper chance for awhile.

Freo, Geelong, Hawthorn, Norf all have a large chunk of older players and will fall down the ladder soon.

I am not sure Port Adelaide should have been using the Dubai trip as a "Look at us and how fit we are" PR exercise. We have seen in the past that when clubs come out and try and use fitness as the golden ticket to 'unbeatableism' it ultimately doesn't bode well in the long term. It can also backfire on the field where players can get lazy, developing an 'it will just happen' attitude. I am not sure fitness was even an issue last year so this PR increase in fitness work of 15% doesn't really seem justified. Its different for clubs like Melbourne, Adelaide etc that have had extended runs out of the 8, sure a massive pre season is needed and its good PR to promote that. Will be interesting to monitor over the next 12 months.

For someone who doesn't really follow the ASADA saga, can someone please answer the following:

What is the likelihood Essendon players will be given suspensions?

When will we finally know the punishments EFC will incur?

What would happen if basically all their players are banned? Relegated?

Likelihood: getting more unlikely by the day considering this has been going on for nearly 2 years.

When: Who knows.

What happens if suspensions: Who knows.

So why dont we train there?

If we go anywhere it will be to the ASPIRE/ASPETAR sports complex in neighboring Doha. This is where Nick Poulos used to work. The facilities are far superior to those in Dubai, including altitude training rooms/dorms to sleep in. It is perhaps the best centre of its type in the world and has world leaders in physical performance research who work there.

Timing I'm not sure but imo the players will be banned for a season. There will be a special draft to enable them to top up.

Even with not being able to force the witnesses to testify?
Absolutely.

Plenty of evidence.

Essendon paid for illegal substances, which were delivered.

Players signed consent forms.

They refuse to provide any details of what was taken.

Presumption is the players were injected unless they can prove otherwise.

They're not being forced to testify, but they are still allowed to use their interviews with them that were done previously.

This is where you get it wrong.Players signed consent forms for what exactly? This is crucial. They don't provide details of what was taken???? because the players don't have to, they are not the ones making allegations. Presumption means diddly squat. It is now a legal case and only what can be proved is relative. Your initial "evidence" Essendon paid for illegal substances. That is looking more wobbly by the day. They need to prove it. What you know and what you can prove are different animals

Tb-4 was paid for by essendon.

Tb-4 was sourced, manufactured & delivered for use by Essendon.

Essendon players signed consent forms to take tb-4 as dank thought it wasn't banned. Big whoops!

Tb-4 is no longer in stock at essendon.

Intent was there & can't prove the drugs intended to be injected were not injected as records mysteriously disappeared.

The dog ate my homework won't wash...
