I agree Dunstan should have got more votes than Bont and should have won if he didn't miss the last 4 games.

to be honest, who is taylor? admittedly have only seen about 2 lions games this year

Watch some more, little nugget, was a dead set steal at pick 29 or whatever it was!

Can the lions fans shut the **** up now?
pls we have been listening to the dogs fans boner for bonts for the past few weeks,so can you just shut your pie hole and stop being a badsport.

Well done to lewy on winning the rising star. IT IS THE ATTACK OF THE short people!!

Congratulations to Taylor, really well deserved. Great effort. Had an incredible year. Hopefully these shorties keep showing that overlooking players in the draft due to height is ridiculous in most circumstances.

Looking forward to watching all the players' careers. :thumbsu:

Bulldogs meltdown NOW

What a classless troll from a supporter of a classless club.

Anyhow congratulations Lewis Taylor,a most worthy winner of the 2014 Rising Star Award.

Thought Bonts would win it, but i am happy a terrific, consistent player like Taylor won it, esp as he wasn't a top 10 draft pick.

Lions fans deserve some happiness after a miserable few years.

Chin up Doggies fans, you have a beauty in Bonts, the future is bright for you guys ..

Congratulations to Lewis Taylor on the Rising Star award. Even though he may not be the most complete player compared to others, it is hard to ignore his consistency all season, and his run and carry has provided the Lions with a bit of spark and won over fans and judges alike. Also kicked a couple of goals in key moments of the game.

Seeing how the voting went, I was right in predicting that this was going to be a very close one right down to the wire, most awards seem sewn up early in recent times

Great effort to win Taylor, most consitant season and deserved the award I believe.

Bontempelli to go so close with only 16 games shows what a great player he is going to be.

Bulldogs ave 81.09 points per game
Saints ave 67.27 points per game

Dunstan therfore generated, on average, 15.16% of the Saints score.

Bonts only generated 14.43%.

Dunstan also did this as an inside mid as opposed to.Bonts who played CHF for periods of games.

Firstly, that's not how it works. One game of footy might see two teams score 270 vs 259 player rating points and have that translate into 60 vs 49 on the scoreboard. It's about the differential.

Secondly, Dunstan as an inside mid would get more exposure to points than a CHF! You don't understand the system.
