I tipped the whole card.
Thomo were super impressive today, whit looked like they just did enough from the scores, Creeks goal kicking let them down. Mernda are gone may as well put the cue in the rack

Umpires Crucified us today! A lot of outs didn't help! We will beat Thomastown when it counts!
Listening to the radio call (wasnt there) you must be on drugs . I think both teams have outs you just have a hate to towards a team sitting 10 points clear on top maybe you should respect them. Mind you there player payments are half of hurstbridges so today must of hurt you been beaten by underpaid kids

With all the recruiting they've done, I'd think sitting 5th is way off the bench mark in regards to Hursty. They recruited guys that were being heavily chased by div 1 clubs and I think it highlights the fact that in recruiting quality they may have overloaded to the detriment of the team. Despite what they would like you to believe, are spending way and above there competitors.

I think a certain some one on here needs to eat humble pie.
I thought bridges would win.
But for some one to rip into a side the way it was ripped into and then take the four points. A apology I thought would be manly like.
To be honest if that was me I would be having a beer in the bearcave with players coach and committee.

Lalors hype has definitely dropped off and the lid is off at the bearcave.
Mernda looks like they are done.
Creek left their run to late.
Whittlesea ran over the bloods.
And then the bears. Surely Dean Sinclair and committee need a pat on the back for the.wins and recruiting during off season.

Scores were level at the 15 min mark of the last qtr Hursty vs T/town.

It's only round 6.
No one said anything about what round it is.
Give credit when due.
The team that has come up are 6 and 0.
All I keep hearing is it's only round 6 lol.
Well we are 1 third of the way through.
I am a local supporter who has no connection with thomo. So my views are not biased.

Yes scores were level. But shows that that bridges aren't good enough or not fit enough t the moment to run with the best team in the comp at the moment.

Anyway. I'm falling into a crap trap and defending a losing argument.

Good night.

Thomo are only going to get better with a young list players understand what work rate is needed for div2, with some senior heads out if their side they are only going to get better. They are making history with every win, a loss wont do any harm either.

Have to agree on Thommo. All credit should be given to Dean Sinclair and crew on the job they have done. They have worked hard to secure the right players over the pre-season and more importantly, they are playing to the game plan Dean has set and no individual football. They look to be all on the same page and I have no doubt that there are some other NFL coaches that would like to know the secret to achieving that!

Thomastown are doing great and no one would have picked this. Played pretty well over the weekend but not sure they are the best of div 2.

As for hurstbridge, have played some very good footy and some very ordinary footy. id say it has a lot to do with bringing in 10-15 new players into the side, will take time to gel (and then injuries to some of these new players). Overall have been disappointing but still think they will finish top 4.

As pointed out, the side they fielded saturday was very young and was surprised they were in the game for as long as they were. Shaw and Kreuzer have been huge ins for them though

On paper Hurstbridge and Stars have best list

It's a long season, still plenty of twists and turns to come...What matters is how you're playing at the business end of the season.. Thomo have been sensational and personally never expected them to do what they have so far, so credit to everyone involved down there.

The fact is that Hurstbridge are trying to build a team that will take them in to Division 1 and keep them there. Bring in the experience of Shaw, Farrelly, Tilley and Kruezer to nurture the young talent.

The question is Thomastown may have recruited well for div. 2, but will these players do well if they go up to div. 1 or will they fail like so many clubs before them?
was watching watsy get a football lesson from morang but my spy at main st said it was a very good game of local footy. Thomo are a young side apparently oldest player is 27 with majority in 20 to 24 bracket. Smart recruiting if you tell me.

Have to disagree there fella, the 4 guys stated no longer want to play div 1,(Kruezer/Tilley walked from Bundoora &Epping to not play Div 1) Shaw & Farrely similar both terrific players. Where to for Hurstbridge if they salute?

What will happen if they do win??? All these players from Div 1 didn't want to play Div 1 so will it be a waste of time??

They get to celebrate a grand final and then play at the next level. if they get relegated the next year, they at least had a crack at the big time.

Thought it might be a bit of fun to put up a tipping leaderboard. (For the guys that have put tips on for most of the rounds.) I've just given a 0 for weeks where there weren't tips put in..

Ringadingding 17
Chet_Wynd 13
BomberARMY 13
John of all Johns 6
Albert You Star 6

Let me know if you have any disputes.. :)
Update plz

The Hurstbridge war chest has opened again with another former Div 1 star clearance submitted.

Will all this big spending get them to div 1 or will it just increase beer sales???

Thommo v Diamo - should be a good game and got a feeling the winning streak has to end, diamo just.
Mernda v Hurstbridge - big in for hurstbridge and will be too strong for mernda, hursty easy
Fitzroy v Lalor - stars hard to beat at home, 4 goals.
Whittlesea v Panton Hill - Whittlesea to get revenge for earlier loss and easily
