I think one ruckman and then the rest midfielders best kickers we can find inside or out. Need cover if S Gray and AhChee don't continue getting better , White and Polec injuries continue and Young, Mitchell and Moore could move on.

We just need to find more midfield quality. We just don't appear deep in that area. We're bound to lose Mitchell or Moore in the next week and then next year we'll most likely lose the other one as well as Young. So wereally need to start bringing through midfield depth now. Quality kids who can play a role and develop. No more of these bloody flanker picks like Palmer, Byrne Jones and Amon, but pure midfielders that can win the ball themselves.

If we're talking next year... Sam Petrevski-Seton is my guy. Holy moly. We'd need a top 5 pick though.

Maybe No. 1.

yeah that was entertaining. bloody hell.

Watched him come through the colts last year as a two-year underager. Rolls Royce is the description that befits him. Seriously smooth mover.

Had some league time at Claremont this year and impressed. Don't know the relative strength of him in comparison to other kids interstate who I haven't seen yet, but man he's good and by far and away the best prospect for WA going into next year.

Knightmare on his phantom draft has us picking at 38 (due to clubs bidding on academy players). He had us picking Tahana. Oliver was in the teens and partington just before our pick.

KM isn't usually overly accurate on clubs picking players, particularly later in the draft. He more assesses the quality of the players, rather than what clubs might be after.

Ok fair enough, was more pointing out that he has us picking at 38...

He's better than any other official media journal in picking the top 10 even at a stretch top 15 closer to draft day. Going back since 2011 he normally has all the players at the right pick in the top 10 or 1 or 2 in different consecutive positions. After pick 20 its pretty much anyone's guess for who goes where I normally find Poulter's draft a bit accurate in the players ranges at this time of year.

I would be happy with tahana at that range. I havent seen him live but from the chat and vids I like what I see.

A small / med defender that can actually lock down , and look at the size of the kid. Those wide shoulders and long arms. With his build he could possibly become a bit of a beast ala Fyfe (no I don't think he will become that good but he. Defintely looks like he can get to a size where he can use his body to dominate general sized players.)

Clayton Oliver would be a good get if he lasts to our first pick.
Hard nut, stands up in a tackle, dishes them out too, not a skinny kid, seems a ready to go inside mid in the mold of another bloke called "Oliver".

Let's hope Lobbe holds his value, so 11 - 15 and our pick 18 :D, as a starting point for an academy club finishing low and needing more points to get us a high pick.

Parfitt next year start saving now. Our first round pick needs to be top 5.
There's only one way we'll get a top 5 pick next year and it means trade a player, and before anyone starts off on about how we should have traded Lobbe, the 11 that the Bulldogs were offering was the best we could have expected for him. A really high pick could only come from trading one of the untradeables. I can't see teams trading early picks in a good draft anyway, everybody learnt from the howler Freo made in trading away the 2000 priority pick.

Obviously pick best available talent but personally I hope we pick up a Robbie gray type midfield (sneaky forward/damaging midfielder) with pick 33-35 and a Wines/Ah Chee midfielder (contested ball winners) with pick 42-49

I'd love Oliver to fall thru. I think rioli could also be around the mark as could Clarke which I think would be a good pick up. I think we'll be looking at pick 37 or 38 although 49 will be a bit more like 43
