Revis and Sherman are a wash but you can take the position that Revis is the #1 CB in the game because he plays all over the field. Sherman stays locked into his position and frankly, Earl Thomas significantly improves him.

You don't think talking about how much a team is willing to pay a player commensurate to how how players in the league are paid is relevant, regardless of the salary cap? Teams knew the salary cap was going up. It's not like when the Cardinals paid Peterson they didn't consider the salary cap rising as a reason for giving him $70 million.

The Eagles have now got Gore, Alonso and $3.5 million in cap space out of the trade. The Broncos have $4 million from the pay cut. Stop comparing the two. Are you going to get two players and have $3.5 million left over out of that $4 million?

Really, I have no problem with the position that Harris is a very good player but he is nowhere near Sherman and Revis and the next tier being Peterson, Haden etc. Talib is a better CB than Harris. Unfortunately, he's made of glass.

I'm not necessarily wedded to the school of thought that says we must rank cornerbacks as #1 and #2. They both defend half the field. These days you see a lot more teams saying this is 'left' and 'right' cornerback. They don't follow receivers to the same extent.

I think the Maxwell signing is probably comparable to Jonathon Joseph. Similar money too I think.

Talking about how much teams were willing to pay under a lower salary cap is in no way a measure of how much they may pay under a new salary cap. The value of a commodity depends upon the supply and the demand.

I'm talking 2014, when he became one of the best. I'm watching it now and he is hardly lining up on him, mainly on Gronk a bit of Amendola/LaFell. He is on Edelman about 15% of the time

The reason for this being that the defense decides the match-ups and AB is living in lala land
