Heppell or B Crouch
Happy to be proven wrong, personally I'll still take Pendlebury but Selwood does compare very well. Perhaps the slightly higher average is due to SC's clutch scoring bonus thingoJoel Selwood
2013:
Contested Possessions 48.8% - Disposal Efficiency 77.1% - TOG% 83.7%
2014:
Contested Possessions 50.4% - Disposal Efficiency 76.2% - TOG% 86.1%
Make of this what you will.
Fyfe yes certainly
maybe only 1 of the 700k+ boys
maybe neither
So you could potentially start without Ablett, Rocky, Selwood or Pendles. That would be an interesting way to start off the year.

2 Yes.Think it's fair to say Ablett, Rocky, Fyfe, Selwood, Pendles are the SC 'Big 5'. Starting with only one of them is a huge risk, I think you need 3 at least from the start.

think theres a few who.mite sneak into that top 5.
real question is...how many will hold value, how many will drop?
I don't think holding/dropping value really matters much when selecting a keeper who will be in your side the whole season. Eg. If Gaz drops to 650k, you'll need to burn a trade to get him in. Is a trade worth the 85k drop? I don't think so, especially when you factor in how many points you'll lose out. And this is a big if, every chance Gaz won't drop to 650k. I also have a feeling those who start without Rockliff will regret it. Of the 5, I'm thinking of starting with Gaz, Rocky & Fyfe.
Also, to break into that top 5 somebody will need to average 120+. It's very rare that a player averages over 120. Even Judd only did it once, Danger's best so far is 118, Watson 120 in his brownlow year. The guns that improve might average around 110-115 but I'd be surprised if any break 120.

The other question is, how many points will you miss out waiting for them to drop in price. Those waiting for a drop in GAJ last year waited 10 odd rounds before biting the bullet.
I can see 120+ av from
gaj
rocky
Pendles
fyfe
parker
beams
jobe
ward
Definitely all capable. I'd add Sidebottom to that too.

Well getting Ablett isn't an extra trade because when you get him in you would be upgrading a rookie to a premium anyway
Treloar vs Ward.
Trealor. Ward will cop a few tags and Trealor is on the up. Could push for a 110+ average.Treloar vs Ward.

Is Trealor cheaper than Ward?
Can't see a reason to take Ward over Trealor reallyYeah by 30K
