Thoughts on Trading Lycett or Sinclair for a late first rounder or early second rounder and drafting a midfielder or using that pick to get Cognilio, Yarran, Jetta etc.? We would need to draft another ruckman of course to maintain depth and McInnes has proven he can ruck if need be.

Would trade Sinclair befor Lycett.

Josh Branchi looked impressive for South on debut as a ruck.

I think their value is being overstated as is the cost of the target recruit.

Looks like Ellis has resigned for another year - in The West today

West Coast have shown faith in Xavier Ellis’ injury-prone body by re-signing the defender for the 2016 season.

The 27-year-old said he loved being around the Eagles’ winning culture as he took a giant stride towards winning back his spot in the senior line-up.

That's amazing. Hasn't even played a game in 2015 and they've signed him up for 2016? Wow.

Meh, I like Ellis. Hope he makes it through.

Looks like McInnes will get another one year deal also .

" The West Australian understands the 197cm forward needs just two more appearances this year to trigger a clause in his existing deal that will extend his career at the Eagles into 2016 . "

I reckon regardless of games played McInnes on his form this year will get another year contract for sure !

Agree there, he has shown enough this year, KPP take a bit longer and he is still only 21. He hasn't got round to taking big contested marks but he hits packs well and causes a contest almost always bringing the ball to the front. Will be good insurance to either release Darling up the ground if so desired, as a backup to McGovern this year and Ruck depth insurance. I was so so on him coming into this season but he has done enough in my eyes.

Given his size, I would like to see McInnes add two parts to his game in flexibility.

1. He needs to be prepared to take the role of the second ruckman and be the option of a key forward and ruckman. That would mean we could go smaller and leave out Sinclair and Lycett.

2. Develop a defensive mindset that could take on big forwards like Cloke or Hawkins meaning we can swing McGovern to the forward line. It would not have to be all game, but at least a chance for us to vary it.

Given he could develop that flexibility, he becomes a much more meaningful player on our list and increases his likelihood of being selected when the likes of Kennedy, McGovern and Darling are available.

Have a listen to Derek Hine (Collingwood List Manager) - arguably one of the best list managers around and very well respected.

Next week we will be able to listen to West Coast Recruiting manager Rohan O'Brien to compare (to be fair - I think Vozzo is the List Manager as well as Football Operations)

It is worth a comparison as to how they think - I see us with the old school set up and ask myself how much better we would be with Derek on the team!!

If o'brien and vozzo keep pulling out 2014 style drafts then hine can go and eat a bag of dicks.

Derek hine had a chance to draft the best player from the 2014 group and overlooked him in favour of degoey
