If we took a couple off your list (to help you) would you give us a higher second round pick for AhChee?
Its a possibility but probably not... there are other ways of cutting the fat.. so much water to go under the bridge... I think we have our pick 44 ear marked for Witts but maybe we go another way and we give it to you... If you trade Lobb out Brooksby could become a useful back up.. he goes alright... also Hinkly may have some views on some of his ex players.. Kenny was very popular when he was here... anyway all the best, your 2014 form was as exciting as I've seen.. hope it comes back..

All the talk of trading achee is kind of ridiculous as we will be getting peanuts for him.. I really thought he was going to be a gun this year. He showed glimpses in preseason with that one handed screamer but since that game he's been a shell of himself. Perhaps his heart is to play with his brother. I would persist with him. If he can turn it around he'll be starting 22 easy
and it's up to Ken to get it out of Arch, he's the coach after all. Imo he's got the goods but little self belief.
If its because of a player heirachy thing then we're in trouble. Belief in each other is the crux for next yr imo none of this 2 tier stuff
that smacks of hubris and deluded at that.

Was - before the hip surgeries around the time he was drafted.

You would be forgiven thinking that they're not actually Toumpas' highlights.

There is a lot of uncontested possessions. Actually those highlights pretty well sum Toumpas up really. Out on his own under no pressure he is fine. Like most of our players, under the pump he goes to water (you can't see that though in his highlights but became evident in his afl career)

So in what market is ah chee worth a second rounder? What you are asking is not market value, it's insanity.

We will keep him and then get nothing after he is delisted end of next year. It's not Lobbe tier **** up, but a **** up regardless.

As I posted and you ignored, if the market will not pay the price I am happy to keep Ah Chee. We certainly should not be accepting a couple of list cloggers or pick 62 for him.

What is likely to happen is we ask for a second round pick and get offered GC's third which is pick 44 atm and that is better than 62 or two list cloggers. That is as it stands at the moment of course. Gold Coast could pick up a pick between 30-40 as part of a couple of high profile deals they have going.

We drafted Ah Chee, someone wants him and as he is under contract to us we determine a price where is the **** up in that?

The **** up is probably that neither club actually needs him.

Yes, we can say if he goes or not, but if Gold Coast wait a year after having offered Port just enough to seem `reasonable' that they can tell Callum `Port are campaigners, we'll try again next year mate', then they already have what they need.

Why are we f*cking around with cold toast, they are crap, they are garbage, they are SH*T.

They are not a football club, they are a pox ridden non entity, that will disappear into the ether as soon as the AFWL pulls the pin on their sweetheart deals.

F*ck the useless queensland campaigners!

We need to bundle up all these spuds and flog them all off in a job lot. You get not one or two but 6 players all for pick whatever you have left over. Hurry up this offer can't last!!!

Ok im going to go out on a limb and say your not a big fan of Gold Coast.

He has the potential to be our best player after Wingard and Gray. It pisses me off that he hasn't shown that consistently but I would persevere with him on the list.

Exactly. People like talking about Ah Chee as trade bait but his replacement would be Toumpas. On that basis alone I'd keep Ah Chee every day of the ******* week.
Lol and ive got the Potential to be the ****ing king of The World.

Kids.I bin drinking this day. But I haven't been smoking what you been smoking on this thread.

Leave the coca leaf for pain killer relief at high altitude pls. Strangest feeling I can ever recall (outside of bed) was walking down the road in sucre after a dozen shots of genuinely coca infused strong liquor (not the shizen "Agwa" that is now legal here). Ive grown up on 40-50% home brew plum brandy. That was different.

Tour needs to decide whether he wants to football or not. And you can see it even in games even at Sanfk level. Can, must want to all the effing time. Or not.

I know I'm a broken record here, but Ah Chee has played 16 full games of AFL football. 16. We could sink 6 times more games into Ah Chee than we already have and we still wouldn't have reached the amount of chances we've given guys like Paul Stewart and Michael Pettigrew.

He's had 18 or more touches in 9 of those 16 games. He's kicked at least one goal in 7 of those 16 games. He's had a 26 disposal, 3 goal, 1 specky, 3 Brownlow vote game. Those are facts. Then we get to the intangibles. His explosiveness. His athleticism. His size. That handball.

There's two categories of players we want to be moving on. A) Players who clearly don't have the attributes required to be a best 22 AFL footballer or B) Players who do have the attributes to be a best 22 footballer but who have been given enough chances that we can determine there's little to no chance it happens here.

A is guys like Mitchell, Colquhoun, Stewart. B is guys like Lobbe, O'Shea and Butcher. Ah Chee showed enough in 2015 to confirm that he's not an A, and 16 games (maybe about half of which were below the required standard) isn't anywhere near enough evidence to make him a B.

I strongly agree that there are plenty of players on our list that we need to move on. I strongly disagree that Ah Chee is one of them.

I'm still willing to give Ah Chee another chance because he's only 22. But that's only if we don't get the offer from Gold Coast that we want.

Trading Ah Chee is one of those decisions that can go either way, and our coaching staff will need to stick their necks out for the decision. Ah Chee either kicks on from here and becomes a solid second string midfielder (he will never be a star that much is clear) for GC/us/some other club, or continues on as he is, a plodder. The coaches are supposed to be experts on this kind of thing, it's why they get paid the big bucks. It's on them to make the right call here.

I have absolutely no faith this administration will make the right call so I'm gonna start praying for a bit of luck.

Any non-SA player it's a possibility, but Dangerfield never gave off the 'bleeding for Adelaide' vibe Wines has for Port. I'd say it's more down to the club as a whole. If we remain a debacle from now until his contract ends you couldn't blame him. If the issues are fixed and a path up is clear to him (in the time he'll be at the club) I doubt he'd go.
Yeah agree. Upto club to demonstrate a trajectory towards success. If they do, he will stay.

No he wasn't. He was one of our better players, and he was an on-field leader. He was a significant loss.

Wow. Just about seen it all now. Needs to be called out, what other rubbish are you willing to sprout for attention?

I'm not in favour of calling our players spuds. Anyway, for all we know, it's the coaching that could be the issue.

harsh and unnecessary

Maybe so but in the meantime we should not accept a deal for the sake of a deal. If the Prestia and O'Meara deals are done Gold Coast may have more picks than they know what to do with. They already have four second round picks and the likelihood is they will have even more by Thursday.

I guess it gets down to how highly we rate AhChee. I do not have him as a 'must keep' but I have not written him off either. He is certainly worth more than the pick 62 on offer. If we got a pick between 30-45 I would take it but to get that you have to ask overs. I am not sure if Gold Coast have a player that might interest us as part of a deal but again I would not entertain list cloggers like Brooksby. If the 44 pick is offered and we take it we may be able to package it with some one like Lobbe or O'Shea and on trade. The problem is we are waiting to piggy back in the wake of Gold Coast's other deals.

If we loose Ah Chee next year we loose him but I think we should make Gold Coast do it the hard way as I have a bitter taste over the Dixon deal in which I fear we may have been screwed over.

The Brendon Ah Chee who lit up the last month or so of 2015 as a big-bodied inside mid with those amazing hands was very much required.

Then he just evaporated into nothing with about 20 other blokes.

What even has happened to our player development? It's returned to the darkest days where literally 90% of the list went backwards.
