Still is something like 20 of them tied to academies. Think majority will end up at the academy clubs.

Did you just suggest we trade Rocky or Hanley?
Doesn't explain the absence of Parfitt though. Seems strange. I wonder if he is injured.I had not even noticed that Settlefield was also missing. Anyway just found out that Spargo, Settlefield and Long are all missing the first few games due to school commitments. Maybe they actually take their schooling seriously. Heaven forfend.
Parfitt and Spargo not getting picked for the first game seems odd to me.
Quigley, do you think Parfitt is a pure small forward only? Or can he be a bit like Christensen/Zorko and put in solid minutes through the middle, even possibly possess the nous to play half back (as we saw Christensen do last week)?
Christensen is actually a very good comparison. Personally I really like Parfitt through the midfield. He has time and awareness that sets him apart. Up forward he is useful but I actually prefer him in the middle of the ground. He can win the ball and do damage with it.

We need a priority pick and pick 1. Midfielders, midfielders, midfielders!
I am sure the Hawks fans hated the idea when it netted them Buddy and Roughead in the one draft and set their dynasty up. Point being we are desperate for top quality youngsters with only 3 top 10 draft picks on our list and a PP would assist that. Doubt it will happen though. Maybe an end of first rounder as compo for the early retirement of JClarke.Hate the idea of a priority pick, do not want.
Trade it. We need experience fast. And quality; not like Bell, Walker and Bastinac. Stop the rot.

We get Bell, Walker and Bastinac because that's the calibre that wants to come here. We don't get the likes of Ryder or Tippett or others despite being right into them (and them being somewhat open to come here) because basically we're us, Beams being the obvious exception.
And so the cycle continues. A dog chasing its tail
