We have more KPF
Dear, Greenwood, Hunter, McGovern (Currently playing as a 4th but can play KPF,) And ROB can play key forward.
Ramsey if they re-rookie him.
Now if they move on Dear or Ramsey then yes look for a KPF.
Need to remember the biggest issue we have with our SANFL side is at times are too tall in the Forward Line.
 Dear i'm a fan of .....but the rest i think you're stretching it a bit, simply becuase of their height ......are any of these players another Taylor Walker ...No!

Greenwood
is a mid not a KPP

McGovern is a 191 cm forward ......yes can play a KPP as we've seen, but just a bit undersized and more like a Darling type player

Hunter .....he has to survive being delisted first, nothing at all to suggest he's a KPF of any note?

ROB ? .....really??? .....cmon, ROB is a straight line runner, yes can cover CHB / FB ......but definitely no KPF

the SA kid Cox is good but he's more a 2nd rounder, maybe a bolter for late 1st
197cm gws academy kid sporule may be available 3rd round/4th round

anyone else Bicks ?
Himmelberg (brother of Harry)- bit of a smoky , been out with shin splints since early in nationals
I just noticed one I don't know much about Western Jets KPD Harrison Bult has a state combine invite so must be on someone's radar, big unit at 197cm and currently 91Kg after weighing in at 81kg last year so building into a big body.

How tall do you think Walker and Lynch are. 192 and 191.
Both McGovern and Greenwood are Walker/Lynch type players. And don't Forget Ramsey is regarded as a Tall Key Forward at 192. If they re-sign him
Hunter will stay and is improving as the resting Key Forward ruck with every game and a good contested mark. And he has been playing key forward in recent games. Similar to JJ. They are not going to move on two back up rucks in the same draft.
ROB has been spending time playing Roles as a Tall Forward and has the patterns down he also one of the better clunkers in the SANFL. Also has a few Goals to his name, it one of the area he has improved on. Needs more practice at kicking straight form set shots.
SANFL is a development team, and they don't always rest the rucks on the bench, they rotate them thru the Forward line. And Hunter and ROB have both played as key Forwards in there Juniors years. They even train with the Forward group.
Key Forward we are better placed at this time than Defenders.
Don't get me wrong if a good Key Forward pops up late they should take him.
But we need 1st Mids 2nd KPD and then 3rd KPF

We'll agree to disagree ..... You're still basing comments on height ...only McGovern IMO can you put in the same category as Walker class wise ....Dear a possibility

Greenwood will not be a KPF. ROB will be either a KPD or backup to Sauce.

Please stop. You're not winning any argument here.

Where was that?
I put it up in this thread ages ago...

Greenwood will not be a KPF. ROB will be either a KPD or backup to Sauce.
ROB plays Ruck resting Forward, and trains with the Forwards and has for a few years, If we lose JJ for a game or two, it will be ROB, Hunter that will most likely replace him.
And what makes you think he will be Defender. And yes I know he played a few games in the past as a KPD but he also played a few as a KPF.
And I will keep going as I believe 1st priority is best player in the Draft followed by Mid then KPD last KPF ,
What your preference.

I think we target a mid, KPF & KPD as I think we need more speed in the middle. A KPF & KPD as insurance.

And yes that what I have said from the start, I just add Best player first,
But The discussion I was having with Wayne was about preference deeper in the draft, ie player depth who do we target first a KPD or KPF and what is the Crows weakest area between these two,
We all agree on the Mids being top priority.

Yeah, I thought Faith must have meant something recent as that interview is from ages ago (sorry Faith).

Generally a class KPF you have to take early in the draft .....maybe our 1st round will be too far out to achieve that, so i'm predicting a mid with the First selection

Good KPD can be got anywhere in the draft .....much easier to get (Hartigan)

As it looks at this point in time
1st round - midfielder
2nd round - blank
3rd round - Jarman

May have to trade or late pick for a KPP to develop

Also i'll add ......i think there's a possibility late that we'll prefer to upgrade Keath and Greenwood ....and maybe rookie a KPP and Ruck ......if so Keath is your KPD

Have a feeling Jarman goes rookie as it stands, or 4th round at the latest

Agree with the rest, if we're using a late pick on a developing KPP it should be a defender, extremely hard to find good forwards (that aren't mature age, like Jenkins was) late in the draft

I'd be happy to get another Jenkins BTW ;)

Jarman will depend on whether another team like Hawthorn puts a bid in ....no bids and we can let him slide to the rookie draft and still claim him under Father / Son (preferred) ......but will other clubs allow that, particularly if he nominates us

True, don't like it but it could happen

Also think Port may put a bid in

Agree, thinking late Draft or Rookie for a Defender, but in 2017/ 2018 reckon they may look harder for a Key Forward, would not surprise me it they Trade for one. going on our History, our current Forward line, 3 trades, 1 rookie. 1 NSW scholarship player,
But again if one pops up go for it.

Jarman will get bid on but only late 3rd round at earliest

We won't give up much for him

SA has close to the No.1 KPF prospect in the country in next year's draft folks..Callum Coleman-Jones..

And ROB being a KPD is speculative at best easy Torrens boy

But at least you're giving him something

Greenwood is as much a KP prospect as hendo
I was talking to a great East Torrens A grader the other night who was also my Year 11 & 12 English teacher.

We were discussing finding Coopers Pale Ale in Paris & Patto did [emoji3]
