While it would be nice to get Jonty, he really doesn't fill a need for us Dave. The last thing we need is more inside mids!

Yeah, because recruiters base their picks on the Collingwood Big Footy draft threads...I blame threads like this, the reason why a guy like Bontempelli is at the dogs, STFU, talk about potential duds.
Just watched that video before - boy he's not a very good kick. That's a big improvement to make to become an AFL footballer but he's an inside beast; I'm thinking kind of like a Tom Rockliff, Matt Priddis type - absolute accumulator; efficiency and impact of possession sometimes questionable.
In the end, he's just another inside mid who doesn't fill a need. Will be watching him closely in the future however just for the nepotism factor.

Big Cox number 2.If we go a full back, we need all of speed, intercept marking, ability to execute on the switch and 194cm+. Who can tick that wish list off?

Rather Logue Battle McCarthy MaibumDoubt any of these will slide to us, but good if they do, you never know.. Scrimshaw, Taranto, Villis, English, Venables.
If these drift further out, J.Graham, J.Berry, Maibaum, Sproule, depending on what type we get with 1st pick.
We be good if we had a couple of 2nd round picks to use (after trades +/-) as think there's some value to be had in this range. The best obvious ones out of reach no matter what, pick them up in 2 years when not getting game at GWS.. Always keen to see the next crop.
Again GWS well & truly in the box seat ..
Not sure what pick Geelong had that year, but Chris Scott said on 360 that they were gunning for him for their first pick alsoHaha, yeah I always laugh when people say the dogs took him cause it got out we were into him. What a load of crap. Dalrymple is one of the best for a reason.

If we could land him and one of McCarthy or Maibum we would be set for kpds imoJeez i want to see that frizzy afro mane in the black and white. Would become one of my favourite players, griffin logue.
Looks to have a bit of attitude/confidence out there, he'll make it
Geelong had pick 16 so he was never going to get through to their pick. Maybe when he was unknown and a speculative pick in the 40's but obviously shot up the order very quickly. Not sure what pick Geelong had that year, but Chris Scott said on 360 that they were gunning for him for their first pick also
Can't remember, but even if I was, it's hardly as ludicrous as saying that recruiters base their picks on the ramblings of random fans on big footy.Weren't you the one sprouting the Bulldogs chose Bontempelli because they believed Hine wanted him?
