Venables into the early twenties, just because of out of sight, out of mind, with injury. Also, think Clarke could slip the too early thirties due to disposal by foot

Sliders :-
English
Sharenberg
Graham
Bolton
Macreadie
Rotham
Galluci
D Clarke

Bolters :-
Hayward
Lipinski
Powell-Pepper
Ridley
Maibaum
Cedric Cox

Any chance Will Brodie slides past 10?

Assuming GC take Bowes & Scheer maybe they don't want another inside mid and prefer more needs based players. Carlton take SPS, Freo take English, swans take Logue...

Seems outrageous for that to happen after he was right in the frame for pick 1.

It's not out of the question at all.

1) McCluggage
2) McGrath
3) Ainsworth
4) Taranto
5) SPS
6) Bowes
7) English
8) Scrimshaw
9) Logue
10) Hayward

Not including GWS bids as they won't be using a top ten pick to match like GC on Bowes.

It's such an interesting draft as there are quite a few players whose potential range is huge, and the top ten could still go in multiple directions at nearly every pick.

hope one of spp or bolton slides to the eagles second. Could see us reaching for spp tho.

Macraidie and Allison obviously
SPS because of inconsistent year/go home factor so I doubt GC will take the risk
Gallucci because footskills/unclear position

I'd love Sharanberg and Graham to both slide... all the way to the Crows picks at 43,53 (both will come in because of academy + FS bids) to probably 40 + 45 or somewhere thereabouts... Giving us An outside mid with first round pick,. two inside mids with our 2nd/3rd and then a Jarman with the 4th.. and then 2 more live picks to pick the scraps and hopefully grab the big draft sliders at picks in the 70's-80's :) #daretodream #notgonnahappen haha

Yep Shai Bolton could well end up past 30 for me.

The rumour is he has been doing a Wingard saying he doesn't want to go interstate.
So may slide with so many wa boys going home this year.
They may be worried he could be another Jonathan Marsh and Gartlett.
I hope he lasts to wce second pick, but think a vic club may take a risk on him.

Yeah, he did a terrible job at GWS and his first year at Carlton couldn't have been less impressive.

Wait a second...
He actually didn't do that well at GWS with the volume of picks he had.

WHE, Tyson, O'Rourke, Plowman, Pickett, Marchbank, Ahern, Boyd are all top 7 picks who've gone with only Tyson & Boyd (Marchbank maybe) getting value in return. The best trade he did there was probably the Jaksch, Whiley & 19 for 7, but even then KJ was a low teens pick. Throw in guys like Sumner and it's starting to show how blessed they were with the concessions they got. Rory Lobb is about the only real quality later pick and he was pick 29 so not late by other clubs standards.

The best GWS did was probably the 17yo's with Cameron, Treloar (got value in the trade), Shiel etc and they made some smart pickups from other clubs (Ward, Shaw, Mumford, Davis)

Too early to tell on last year's draft for me, Weitering looks good but was a pick 1 so he should and I thought Cunningham showed signs.

Two come to mind straight away and have both already been mentioned in English and Marshall. Wouldn't be surprised if Cedric Cox slid as well.
I understand why you would say that about Marshall and English, and it's certainly possible, but with GC, GWS, Brisbane and even Sydney having multiple early picks I suspect that at least one of them would take a punt on the high ceilings that Marshall and English possess if others don't take them earlier.

SPP - In the 30s - I'm feeling that mature body slider like a Luke Tapscott back in the day.

English - late teens early 20s - lack of desire to use high end picks especially if GC don't want him (grundy style)

Battle - late 20s early 30s - slightly undersized (Gardiner /Culter)
Difference is SPP has more to offer than just a mature body
