A super draft which had 2 of the top 5 define the risks of the draft even at the top end, producing two of the most forgettable careers in history. Picks 1, 20 and 36 for Croad who went on to become AA and MacPharlin who was a champion, is good value. The dark old days back then, and we have had some success, but the club has always looked for a quick fix A grader, instead of chasing a young
B grader with upside, value.
Croad, Elvis cost us pick 1, 20, 36, in a superdraft, Polak was a talent, skilled player, but whatever it takes to be a champion, he did not possess
those attributes. This is why McCarthy is worth a gamble, but not at any price.
I doubt we are interested in Kersten. Just because he is from WA, everyone thinks we are into him.Article on AFL site and has Shane Kersten and Mason Wood as us having an interest. Wood highly unlikely.
I have it on hood authority (wild speculative guess) that he's off at the end of this year. We've had a good run holding onto players but you can't hang onto all of them. Hope we get a similarly talented youngster in return if he goes.

I would much rather hang on to Langdon but if he wanted to go to somewhere like Collingwood I think we should look to upgrade our picks, so something like Langdon and our 4th round pick for Collingwoods second.Losing Langdon would suck, as I don't reckon we would get more than a third rounder for him and he does have the potential to be a good player for us. He won't have much currency right now, too. And if he's trying to swap to Collingwood, I don't think we'll get much from them, as they always seem to get the best of any club they're trading with.
You obviously haven't read the Arc and Tim thread. The only good authorities are the manager, player or club and I bet you haven't had contact with any of them.![]()
My post was purely tongue in cheek in case it didn't read like that. I legitimately have no idea about Langdon staying or going.
The Fist says check out Stormageddon damage in Sydney and TasmaniaThe key area is our backline. It as weak as water...............

" Reece Conca is understood to already be looking for a new club, with Fremantle said to be interested in the 23-year-old. "

He has massive scars down the back of both his legs from hamstring surgery. If Langdon's off to the Pies, would Jonno Marsh be a good trade? Like Langdon, he's young and hasn't played a lot of games yet, so he's been unable to show his full worth. Yes he's taller, so he's apparently arbitrarily worth 'more' but I reckon a straight swap could work. Does anyone have any opinions on Marsh?

Thanks. So he'd fit right in then.He has massive scars down the back of both his legs from hamstring surgery.
Very quick off the mark in his draft year, played a bit as a roaming forward/mid. I was thinking of him as being a inside mid that could put a yard on his man after collecting the ball. I'm not sure what his body is like after so much surgery though.
