With friends like him................:huh::eek:
Haha he did spill the beans in international waters if that helps. My mate who found out then proceeded to message langdon with a pm saying dont leave freo with langdon not denying it :( got a screenshot.

The dark old days back then, and we have had some success, but the club has always looked for a quick fix A grader, instead of chasing a young
B grader with upside, value.
Croad, Elvis cost us pick 1, 20, 36, in a superdraft, Polak was a talent, skilled player, but whatever it takes to be a champion, he did not possess
those attributes. This is why McCarthy is worth a gamble, but not at any price.
A super draft which had 2 of the top 5 define the risks of the draft even at the top end, producing two of the most forgettable careers in history. Picks 1, 20 and 36 for Croad who went on to become AA and MacPharlin who was a champion, is good value.

Article on AFL site and has Shane Kersten and Mason Wood as us having an interest. Wood highly unlikely.
I doubt we are interested in Kersten. Just because he is from WA, everyone thinks we are into him.

Langdon is a tricky one, has very little trade value, but all the assets to be a very good footballer. Really hope he stays. Very unusual a player would leave after his minimum contract at Freo. Won't believe it until I see it.

I have it on hood authority (wild speculative guess) that he's off at the end of this year. We've had a good run holding onto players but you can't hang onto all of them. Hope we get a similarly talented youngster in return if he goes.

You obviously haven't read the Arc and Tim thread. The only good authorities are the manager, player or club and I bet you haven't had contact with any of them.;)

Losing Langdon would suck, as I don't reckon we would get more than a third rounder for him and he does have the potential to be a good player for us. He won't have much currency right now, too. And if he's trying to swap to Collingwood, I don't think we'll get much from them, as they always seem to get the best of any club they're trading with.

I would much rather hang on to Langdon but if he wanted to go to somewhere like Collingwood I think we should look to upgrade our picks, so something like Langdon and our 4th round pick for Collingwoods second.

Read on some random clickbait article on Facebook that apparently we are into Reece Conca from Richmond...

I sure hope its some uni grad student making up speculative news than it being true.

My post was purely tongue in cheek in case it didn't read like that. I legitimately have no idea about Langdon staying or going.

I've heard on good authority that we have identified our main weakness and are going hard to improve our goal accuracy next year. A snippet of the strategy below:
  • retire Pavlich
  • trade out Taberner, Ballantyne, Walters
  • retain Mayne
  • trade in John Butcher, Travis Cloke, Mitch Brown, Jess White
Get excited!

In unrelated news, television retailers are expecting a boom year in 2016.

If Langdon's off to the Pies, would Jonno Marsh be a good trade? Like Langdon, he's young and hasn't played a lot of games yet, so he's been unable to show his full worth. Yes he's taller, so he's apparently arbitrarily worth 'more' but I reckon a straight swap could work. Does anyone have any opinions on Marsh?

I think with a full list our forward line isn't going to be all that bad. The key area is our backline. It as weak as water...............

I think this has been speculated on a lot this year. However, if Langdon does go it will be disappointing. But it will probably help in securing McCarthy.

He has massive scars down the back of both his legs from hamstring surgery.
Very quick off the mark in his draft year, played a bit as a roaming forward/mid. I was thinking of him as being a inside mid that could put a yard on his man after collecting the ball. I'm not sure what his body is like after so much surgery though.

Maybe he read the Defacto & Colin thread? ;)

Thanks. So he'd fit right in then. :(
