Yes but he needs say why all the other players touted in the top 10 he's ok ..except one guy..id love to hear the reason.. otherwise we wouldn't have discussions .. wed just make statements and that's it..! Nothing more.. just statements.
I'd like to think people can share a bit more deeply..

Obviously.

If you have an opinion that differs from the majority then that's a perfect opportunity to argue your point. Anything else is just shooting blanks and posting for the sake of posting.

Why argue the point if you know whatever you say a smashing is coming back the other way and not everyone is the confrontational type.

Some just think "why bother" in all honesty as any reasoning will be watered down and we are all Nostradamus before the draft has even taken place!

How do you or he know that he's going to be smashed when we haven't even heard his reasons?

That all depends on whether or not the poster thinks any comments will incite more arguments from people that he knows will go against what ever arguments he puts in place to justify a personal opinion etc.

If we start to have a circle jerk conversation it will be the same 5 people all talking to each other all the time that dare not say anything to upset anyone else and this is not what forums are about and everyone can have a say without being jumped on.

How do you or he know that he's going to be smashed when we haven't even heard his reasons?

Its my job on here and the preceding posts speak volumes throughout the whole thread.

Chism .. can we move on ? This is a philosophical discussion saved for another day.. I just wanted to hear his reasons.. and you for involved.. you might be totally wrong and he might have ripper reasons.. but that's why I asked ..

Are you talking from direct experience? It's an internet forum that provides you with the anonymity to give that opinion. If you can't handle others wanting to indulge in some debate then what's the point in posting in the first place?

The risk with SPS in my view is nothing to do with race background. It is to do with his possession count and body type.

At pre-draft Kruezer was considered a great ruck option, an extra midfielder, and a resting key fwd who could snag goal after goal. At AFL level he is nothing like that.

At pre-draft, SPS is an inside/outside midfielder; at AFL level with his body type there is every possibility he is only outside with no inside game. Most opponents are bigger bodied and much taller. If they are smaller, they are tank bodied.

So we may end up paying for an outside midfielder only. That may be want you all want but we need to factor in who he ends up like in 3/4 years. I'd prefer an inside/outside midfielder rather than just an outside midfielder with that pick.

Temperament needs more investigation...they are all up for it at underage; just see one K Lucas. It's a recruiters job to see more.

100% Disclaimer:
Will easily get on board if we draft him
I do trust in SoS as he only deserves that
I know know just enough to be stupidly wrong

I think SPS is a flashy icing on the cake type pick in stereotype only.

Averaged 5+ tackles per game at WAFL level this year. That tells me he's a lot closer to a hard working midfielder than he is to a flashy footballer.

Yup, gets contested ball and clearances to go with it. Definitely an inside/outside midfielder. The bonus is that he is not another quick handball out to advantage inside mid, he is a sidestepping, quick first few steps and kick to a target inside mid.

On what basis do you rate them better?

I can understand somebody saying his numbers aren't high.. but talent wise hes up there . Mcluggage does not tackle and gets less hard ball for instance. Plus he is more one dimensional than sps

That is actually WAFL Colts (U18) Jeremias. There is a huge difference between WAFL Colts & WAFL. SPS didn't play any WAFL or WAFL Reserves games. The only "like v like" stats worth quoting for SPS are those achieved at the U18 Nat Champs, which were only average at best, or the All Stars game where he went gangbusters.

I AGREE 100%

Without wanting to offend anyone, with the way things have turned out with Yazz and Jeffy, I would prefer to go with the local kid.
We need to minimise risk where possible, and i'm sure SPS is a great kid, but i'd just prefer a more conservative approach.
Taranto or Brodie would do me just fine.
Not sure what you are trying to say. Cripps is from WA so it can't be the go home factor you're worried about. Jeff didn't go back to WA so it's definitely not the gone home factor. Yaz didn't go home either so once again why is a local kid so important. Or is it something else that puts you off SPS.

SPS is the player we need IMO. He has elite disposal, pace, can win his own footy and tackles with real intensity.
The kid is an elite talent and has been the stand out junior for a number of years now, can't see SOS passing on him.
Only one more sleep to go.

Two more sleeps.

The Draft is on Friday night. ;)

Hope so and Taranto better suits our needs as SPS is a flashy icing on the cake type pick and our cake is still far from the oven.
SPS is more of an inside mid than Taranto. Don't mind either but what you have said isn't really the case.

I still somehow want Brodie. He and Cripps would complement each other for 10 years. Not sure why he is likely to slide. He was BOG back to back against vfl teams earlier this year. He is currently 189 cm and would most likely grow another few centremetres, plus has more speed than Cripps. Don't think we are ready yet for a SPS type, we need quality inside midfielders who will pay 200 games. I'm not convinced at all about SPS.

He doesn't fumble and he has the freak ability to gather the ball at full pace without breaking stride. His decision making is elite and you can't tackle him in a cupboard. Disposal on both sides is excellent.. handball is sharp.. awareness is extraordinary .he can make things happen before anybody is aware .
That's all great right but he has reflexes like Eddie and Cyril..a rare predatory swoop..his pace is extremely smooth and unreal agility.. he had had injuries but that means upside..

Yeah but he's only 181 and yeah hes from WA

Everyone seems to want or is happy with what the mocks have in regards to us taking SPS and i hope i am wrong but i have my doubts on this kid.

As always he will be welcomed with open arms IF we draft him and it is what it is.
Can you elaborate on what exactly are your worries. No dig, I might be missing something that I haven't taken into account?
