What's the minimum amount of home and away games that we can play at Etihad?

We suck there.

In terms of double ups, my preference would be: Carlton, Collingwood, Richmond, Brisbane and Melbourne.

What's likely however, is:

St Kilda, Carlton, Collingwood, Richmond and Sydney/West Coast

We usually have 3 MCG tennants twice, one Etihad and one interstate side

It doesn't work that way

You double twice with the teams 13-18/07-12 and once with the teams 1-6.

Probably an interstate game in round 1 (QLD) or will come up against North Melbourne in round 1.

In the last 10 years we have only had 2 home games in round 1.
Looks like an interstate game vs the Suns is on the cards. 2 home games in the last 11 years fml  in round 1.

Could very well be GC in Queensland, but I don't see a round 1 showdown happening, nor do I see North Melbourne and Adelaide / Port and Fremantle playing each other round 1 again.

The following round match ups are 'revealed':
Richmond vs Carlton
Hawthorn vs Geelong
Sydney vs Collingwood
Melbourne vs GWS
Western Bulldogs vs St Kilda
West Coast vs Brisbane

That leaves Essendon, Gold Coast, Port, Fremantle, Adelaide and North Melbourne.

Since the interstate sides rotate between home and away in round 1, Port and Gold Coast would be playing at home. Adelaide and Fremantle away.

I'm guessing that we will play Adelaide once in AO next year as we haven't played them there, so that probably rules them out for round 1. i don't think we will play North Melbourne (although we've played them round 1 heaps of times). Since we hardly play at home round 1, I'm going to guess:

Port vs Essendon
Gold Coast vs Adelaide
North Melbourne vs Fremantle

If we do play at home, I think we'll play Fremantle for the first time since 2010 in Melbourne.

They handed out commemorative Lloyd coins before that game. That's how long it's been.
They were still the white, green, red and purple Dockers back then.

Put it this way. The purple and white dockers have never traveled to play Essendon.

What makes it even longer is that it was round 2.

Hate Friday Nights, Sunday games
Best time slot is probably Saturday Night, but I also like the idea of Saturday Twilight, but we've only played 1(?) game in that timeslot ever?
Saturday Twilight at the MCG would be preferred.

Also can't remember if this was implemented or if its just wanted but do they have that group thing where we play the 5 teams other bottom 6 teams twice? With a midfield, no WADA, new coach, and a ruckman, we could win a shitload of game if that's happening.
Unfortunately gives us two chances to loose to Gold Coast and Melbourne.

Knew it, bloody hell away again.

I'm hearing only one game against the Pies.

-fixture the two big clubs once only
-bitch and moan about how crowds are down

That's how it will go.
Really? Man that's a bad call.
I thought Carlton V Essendon once was bad enough.

Melbournians - what's your preferred time-slot? As a TV viewer my favourite in Friday night, but I'm not sure how keen I would be on night games were I to go to most matches, especially considering it takes many people more than 20 minutes to get home after matches.

Ideal is Saturday arvo 2:00, I don't mind Friday night or Saturday night but prefer a 7:10 start over a 7:45 start.

I think it's nice to have a bit of change and play Collingwood once.

Probably means that we'll finally play Melbourne twice though, the first time since 2005.

Bad first round. Not appealing at all.

Of course we're playing interstate
