If you're top 5% in the comp in payment, you are guaranteed a first round pick. He'd get $650k and smash that in.

Better for us might be that he demands out and the Lions want him gone.

AFL.com.au understands that if a free agent's new contract puts them in the top five per cent of that group at the time the free agency offer is lodged, then their former club is eligible to receive a first-round compensation pick.

To put that figure in perspective, a wage that ranks in the top five per cent of players aged 25-plus would put the free agent among the game's top 15 earners.


Hmm ... A bit of a gamble to expect Rocky will be in that top 15. Borderline you would think.

Two picks means two junior talents not coming to Adelaide ......not in favor of two players for one ......unless it was the very Elite of the competition, which i don't have Rockcliff in that category

We've got Doedee and Otten available if he sticks around. Otherwise Kelly.

Levers body will soon mature and can compensate for some of the size we give up with Hartigan gone.

It's not a clean straight swap and you'd need to get creative, but it could work.

I'll say again ....Lever will be an AA CHB ......if you noticed, he's putting size on and by next year will have an AFL ready KP Body IMO

Lever's a natural footballer and leader .....most influence can be at CHB .......opens the door for Doedee and Keath, who most definitely has the game for AFL

You can keep saying it to you are blue in the face, but at the moment we we better balanced with hartigan as #2 tall & lever as #3.

They haven't been attacking the club universally, they've been commenting on things I believe we can do better. my posts are contradictory because that's how a debate works. If I agree with a post I chuck a like on it and move on, I don't feel the need to repeat what was said.

The club is doing a lot of things right, but there isn't much discussion in them because most people know we're doing them right.

I'm not really interested in participating in a crows circle-jerk, I'm interested in debating how we go from good to great.

A lot of people on here bag Rowey, but they are acting exactly like him with the carry on since that loss. How long do people need to move on and realise it's done and there is a finals game to get pumped for, can't change history.
