Your one poster I trustLyons has agreed a 4yr 400k pa deal to north.
Crows apparently happy to trade him.
Great deal for him.

We traded this year's 2nd rounder for Hampton right?
So in totality we are trading JL out for Hampton and an upgrade on this year's 2nd rounder? That could be a great deal. Am I way off?
Pick 29 is good

Yep I'm happy with 29 for Lyons, got a feeling if we're willing to let go of him... then someone else will be coming into our midfield.
Rockliff it is IMO, he will kill it if he comes here.
Earlier than where they finished?North source, early 2nd rounder
I love the bloke and don't want to lose him, but he's probably the most "expendable" bloke we have in the midfield 22 (not counting Thompson because he's not worth anything going out in trade). But if that is the case and he's being sent out then we'll really need some good quality midfielders coming back into the side. Not to mention a bit of salary cap relief if Lyons was after becoming the new 400kay, 4 years at $400k is massive for him.

)Are there actually any whispers on CEY? Would be plenty that have come knocking surely
I know our clubs have had a good trade relationship recently, I'm sure we can work something out

At least if this is a done deal we have 29. We could be arguing with Carlton for a month and get pick 23 etc. Rather have what we have now so we can then do with it what we want which may include your Rockliff idea.Would have preferred the Blues 2nd rounder, but Im sure the Crows have their sights set on some deal?
But in saying that I think player/s + 1st1st and 2nd rounders to the Lions for Rocky?
Tambling"Good trade relationship"? How many deals have we done since Tambling....![]()

It's mostly just assumptions that he'll look elsewhere. Sniffed around a bit last year, but signed a 2 year deal, still couldn't get a consistent gig in the midfield despite some good SANFL form, but he's contracted, so I imagine the deal will need to be decent to consider it, especially if Thommo retires. He'll still have a lot of value as a backup for us next year. Are there actually any whispers on CEY? Would be plenty that have come knocking surely

It's shit. Can someone shoot me down? Because I think this deal is quite good and would rather be disappointed sooner than later.
Could be,
Out:
JL
AFC 2016 2ND ROUNDER (potentially finishing 1st this year)
In:
Hampton
NMFC 2016 2ND ROUNDER (finished 8th)
Sorry we have a trade embargo with Richmond to protect ourselves from ourselves. Are there actually any whispers on CEY? Would be plenty that have come knocking surely

So if that's true and he's off to North, that'll give us 14 and 30 to play with in a trade, if what we got for Danger is market rate, then adding CEY to that pile should net a very high quality midfielder.
Nah you'd just go for it.I just hope Lyons has his mind on the job come Saturday. If he knows he's off, will he put his body on the line? This worries me.

Being from Adelaide he's probably prepared to take unders to stick around, 175K or so. Could see a club offering double that and give him game time to move him. Could see Gold Coast, Fremantle and us having a crack. Gold Coast have a bunch of picks in the 20's that might entice you. It's mostly just assumptions that he'll look elsewhere. Do you shoot early in the bedroom too? It's shit.
Effectively we've lost a starting 22 player for a player who hasn't played a game for us yet and a slight upgrade on our second.
Besides our midfield is our weakness and Hampton is being groomed off half back.
