Naitanui would set up the Giants on field and off field. He would pull an extra 5,000 people through the gate and as members. He did live in Sydney once but he's such a talent and down to earth likable guy the only way it would ever happen was if he wanted a change of scenery. I don't think the club would dare push him out the door because the board and list managers would fear for their lives.
No offence taken BTW Bokonon. I think every team would love to have the big fella playing for them.
I think everyone hopes he can recover from his injury and make a successful return.

WTF a player yet 2 make his debut not just requesting a trade but telling the club his preferred home. What has the game become request a trade but how about nominate a state so far you have given us nothing.

Can someone please let me know where Pickett is in the recovery stage of his injury. I cant seem to find anything on it other than knowing he was injured early this season. Cheers.

That's just rubbish. Kid is treated for injuries and then, after not playing a single minute, decides he wants to leave. What's with all our players going to Carlton anyway? Familiarity since it feels like half their team next year will be former GWS players. Frustrated is an understatement.
I know others on here are not so worried but i believe with all these players leaving we are 1 or 2 injuries away from being back in the pack.

If Ahern comes out and requests a trade to Carlton, I think it will look more likely. What a wasted draft year that is looking to be. Is Ahern the last man standing (pardon the pun) from that crop?

I keep hearing "opportunity starved" in relation to someone like Jack Steele.

I disagree with that. If Greene gets injured Palmer is his replacement. If Mummy goes down we'd share the load between Lobb, Flynn and whatever we pick up in the next fortnight.
Defender goes and Himmelberg is cherry ripe to come in or Buntine or Kennedy for a small stopper.
Mids are covered with Kennedy and Setterfield plus whatever else we bring in.
We still have more depth than anyone but will get rid of a lot of dead salary cap wastage and bring in some new prospects.
Not concerned at all.

Would be funny if someone left a club "for more opportunity" and ended up playing LESS games with their new club over the same time frame as with their old club.

Neither was Jack Steele.
I'm surprised Steele didnt back his ability. Yes he was in and out (like most kids are) but I would have backed him in to get a spot, he's got real ability.
