I said that and got shouted down by DVB about it.Worth considering how durable Gibbs has been in the past. Might be playing well into his thirties. Only issue would be shoulders I would think

You know this how?If we didnt take Daisy as a FA we would of got a 1st round pick after our selection that year, which was Mcarthy.
There's cause to look for a good KPD if they're available.
Which pretty much leaves the Brown twins and Hooker.
It came down to a pick between him and Cripps when we came to make our selection, it's on the internet somewhere. I'm sure our thinking wouldn't have completely changed had we have had two picks in succession. There simply would have been no need to make the decision, we would have drafted both. You know this how?
And even if we did manage to get a band 1 pick, how do you know we would have taken McCarthy?

If fit they're a good upgrade on Rowe, but as you've pointed out, it comes down to interest of both parties and wages.Hooker is very good obviously but he'll be highly sought after. I'd say most clubs across the competition will be touching base with his manager throughout the year.
I can't imagine he'd want to join Carlton right now for any reason other than significant money, and given where we're at I'd rather not offer a contract of that magnitude to someone who won't pull on the navy blue jumper before he turns 28.
Neither of the Brown twins do much for me. Would rather we steer clear of both.
Seems a blessing we didn't...You know this how?

Vickery has been on the Tigers list long enough to be a FA and they reckon we have issues.

On another note if jaksch doesn't play against Sydney it would appear he hasn't impressed Bolton at all.
Unlikely.Any truth to the rumour that weitering will be trialed at chf?
As long as he is happy to hold down FB simultaneously I'm good with it.Any truth to the rumour that weitering will be trialed at chf?
With Weitering i see his base as lauchie Hansen and his ceiling as north of Harry Taylor.
I guess we'd be happy with both out comes
I don't mind Hansen but I dare say we'd be pretty disappointed if Jacob only ended up as good as him.
There are few things that set the two apart but one of them is glaringly obvious and it's very chalk & cheese.
Would be hard to get anyone out of the Eagles at the moment especially as best 22 playerAn up-to-date list of free agents that may be available at the end of the year:

Will Schofield would be worth a look as a replacement for Jamison/alternative to Rowe to help Weitering and co out. Originally from Victoria, turns 28 at the beginning of the 2017 season. You'd think we'd have a bit of cap space free with Jamison, Walker & Simpson retiring in the near future + the likes of Henderson and Yarran departing.
Well good riddance to bad rubbishI remember reading one of our recruiters quit on the account that we picked cripps over mccarthy.
Plays better as a rebounding 3rd tall anyway. They've got amazing tall depth with Brown too.Is schofield best 22? Mckenzie and McGovern would be before him
