To announce the Chinese have decided not to sponsor $1m pa because the land deal has been blocked & they didn't realise that port were a crap team as were told they never give up... But don't fear as off to India instead.

Difference tonight was Petrie, Brown and Waite Vs Stringer.

In a tight game North were able to get the easy goals that big forwards give you. Stringer cost them a goal from Jong with an early jump in the back. Then proceeded to kick two crunch time points.

Even worse, doing it time and time again despite seeing the results

Needed to manufacture a goal. Unfortunately their foot skills under pressure made that very difficult

Watching the dogs tonight i am much more comfortable that if we match them in the midfield we should be able to win.

Pretty much my take on it word for word. They've lost so much penetration on the rebound and have nothing up forward. Still strong defensively

Apologies if already discussed, but the umpires were terrible again tonight: perhaps it's a Friday night thing, rather than anti-Crows related?
Players were tackled and pushed in the back while not in possession: no free. The clunked marks followed instantaneously by the spoil were paid sometimes, but not others. Some of the "deliberate" outs were ridiculous, while the umps seem to have given up completely on the < 15m kick frees: some wouldn't have been 10 m. However, my pet hate remains the HTB. I have reluctantly accepted that it's OK to have the ball knocked out by a tackle, but I can't accept the dropping of it at the feet of a teammate, or Bruce's "little gives" to a teammate, which are clearly throws, some even one-handers! It's truly shocking to closely examine replays of matches and add up the numbers of incorrect disposals, mainly throws, which go completely unpunished.

they don't seem to call in the back outside the marking contest anymore.
Mitchel throws the ball all the time, Adelaide seem to be the only team that gets called for throws. Isaac Heeney certainly doesn't.
My personal favorite was where the North player being tackled having one arm held ran 5-10 meters and hand delivered the ball to a team mate heh.
Oh and Waites 9meter kicked mark from Browns kick.

Crows have the type of players to get the job done. Dogs will probably be working this week on making better decisions and hoping to hit more targets, just need to put them under pressure. Still a very solid team, but they probably have too much grunt in the middle and lack a bit more outside class atm. I think Crows are a better balanced team overall, which is why you beat them in the EF last year. Bev has done a pretty good job with the Dogs though.

Reckon Lever may be the better match on Stringer. But yeah Talia and Hartigan could have a field day mopping up the I50s next week as Firrito and Scott Thompson did tonight.

Lever still nowhere near strong enough.

Sure Stringer is quicker than Talia but Talia is still a waaaayyy better defender and will match him in the one-on-one duels. Hell, Lever couldn't even push Gunston off the play last week.

Lever might be better on a resting Bont? Cheney on Dickson (not Smith please!!!), Hartigan on the Campbell/Roughead duo.
