Another casual 20+ disposal, 2 goal game from Clug. Still feels like he has another level to go to in years to come too.
These guys are yet to turn 21.
there will be some levels they are yet to reach
Scary when you think what some of them are doing.

Still stand by this will be a top 3 to compare to the Hodge-Ball-Judd 3 of 2001.

We got Harry Morrison and Mitchell Lewis with 2 of the last 4 picks of the night. Despite my frustrations at our contempt for early draft selections, we've done pretty bloody well there.

What role does Morrison play? He's got a kind of plane face like Tucker so he doesn't stand out, his stats aren't flash but maybe it's the quality rather than quantity with him?

Nothing flashy, just a hard working wingman. Has looked more impressive than a bloke then that late in the draft mainly. Not really sure how far he can go though or if he can reach an elite level and replace Isaac Smith someday. Time will tell

Not a bad draft this 2016 draft.

1. Taranto
2. Stewart
3. McLuggage
4. McGrath
5. Berry
6. Bowes
7. SPP
8. Florent
9. Luke Ryan
10. SPS

Battle, Larkey, Marshall, Fisher, Hayward, lewis, Lipinski, himmelberg and parfitt all progressing nicely.

Witherden and English stiff here, not even making your extended list.

Think the club is still trying to figure out what his best role is, debut season at VFL was spent as a half back and most of his time at AFL level has been as a high half forward/wing. He is definitely a 'smart footballer' and looks to have time with the ball but the problem with him at the moment is he lacks weapons. He isn't overly strong or fast, not a big body. He can find space and is a neat user off both feet but needs to put on some more size. Really promising player first year but has stagnated this year.

I think he could maybe be a Christian Salem style of player if he develops well hopefully.

Sounds so much like Tucker

Draft is shaping up to be an absolute belter.

There is a fair chance that in 10-12 years Freo will have passed on a brownlow medallist (I think McCluggage or Taranto have that in them) to get all of;

1) Luke Ryan
2) Sean Darcy
3) Griffin Logue
4) Cam McCarthy

Interesting trade...

Logue's last two weeks (after significant injury) have restored some faith that he was a top 10 talent and its good thing we look to have nailed our draft or that trade would have gone down in history as an unmitigated disaster. Could be a significant mover come this time next year.

Reckon top 2 are undisputed, throw a blanket over the next 6. Draft looks to have top end talent AND depth which is rare. I am heavily discounting Stewart given he wont play anywhere near as many games as the rest, something which gets looked over on here.

14) Parfitt
15) Simpkin
16) Ratugolea
17) Battle
18) Marshall
19) Ainsworth
20) Hayward

SPP, Larkey, B Cox, Rioli, Lewis, Graham, Morrison, Logue, Brown, C Cox, Venebles, Bolton, D Clarke and Waterman have all shown something, or, have good cases for top 20 spots

Draft looks better and better with every passing month. That's a top 20 brimming with quality.

It was probably watching him go toe to toe with Fyfe last year but I am a massive fan of Berry, reckon he will be a star in that midfield.

You look at the guys missing that top 20 which is incredibly subjective on my part and I would say only 2013 from recent times comes close in terms of depth. Doubt this one gets anywhere near the same top level talent as 2013 though

My memory is fading but was taranto a big surprise to go at pick 2 or was it that gwd traded up for him.. what ever it was he is clear best from the draft imo and a smoky to go top ten in the brownlow

Was top 3 in a lot of lists and a good chance to go at 1 (personally liked him best)

I reckon McGrath, taranto and clug are top 3 in some order any which way the picks were taken

There is two Marshall, St kilda Marshall actually did better than Port Marshall this year.
