Why not? Hibberd is elite off half back which you need. You have Hogan, sam weideman and Dawes as your forwards. With Maxy Gawn kicking a goal a game too, plenty of fire power.

Because we'd rather have Watts than Hibberd?

You can have Dawes though.

Hi guys, sorry for intruding. Just wanted to ask what you guys think Hibberd is worth. Would you guys give up you first rounder next year for Hibberd and 19?

We don't have a first rounder. Or did you mean the draft following this one?

To be honest, I think it all comes down to whatever Goodwin et al have in mind for the team, and how much they feel Hibberd is essential to it. I would have said 2nd round is enough assuming he really wants to come to Melbourne - but they probably have a slightly more specific and developed plan then my occasional musings on BF.

Yes, I would.

Yeah, I meant next years. I'd expect that to be around Pick 10-14

What's Hibberd's kicking like? Something that kills us time and again is poor kicks coming out of defence. We need at least two elite kicks coming out of there. Salem? Maybe. Hunt, probably not. Wagner is not actually that bad but his decision-making can lack....vigour.

Hibberd can kick.

Would he be considered one of the top 3 kicks at Essendon?
I'd only be guessing but from what I've seen he's like Hurley without quite the same kick length.

Get a top-20 draft pick in a year early and be able to keep a pick around 25-30 as well, we'd certainly hope to be out of the top 10 in the draft next season so would hope it doesn't cost us.

Out of the top 10 yeah but still better than 19.

No, but you back him as a decision making and provides great drive off half back. He's a good defender, strong in the air both spoiling and marking. His glaring weakness is his right foot, but like other lefties he's pretty clever at getting onto his preferred foot. While I'll hate to see him go, he's well worth the second rounder that has been bandied around.

Has no right foot and got found out a little at the start of last year. But is really good on the left. What sort of player would you guys give up for him if picks aren't on the table?
Dawes is probably the one.

Clearly you would have no interest in some of these but
Dawes
Grimes
Garland
Jay Kennedy Harris
