If only we had a pick in the top 20Hi all,
pardon the intrusion, hopefully this is the right place to put this!
Just giving a heads up that on Monday 6th of November at 7:30pm I will be chatting with 2 of the Co-founders of AFL Draft Central, Pie 4 life and Bishop (who post a bit on the drafts board here) to speak to them about the upcoming draft.
they will be giving their top 20 player rankings, a in depth review of 8 players (4 each) that have impressed them the most this year as well as a 1st round mock draft.
You will be able to listen to it live via our Spreaker link (which i will post in here on Monday) and you can even use the chat client to ask any specific questions about players you might be after etc.

This is all i've got of interest hope it helps:
Handley has attracted little public fanfare this year but he has not slipped under the radar of recruiters, who are said to be clamouring to find more about the Geelong West product.
At 181cm and 76kg, the lively 17-year-old has booted 18 goals in only eight TAC Cup matches.
Is it just me, or can anyone else see a bit of smooth moving, hawk champion Joel Smith about him??
And also apart from the hair and the headband?

Hawthorn
List needs
1. Key forwards
2. Key defenders
3. Star midfielders
Draft picks: 43, 68, 75, 81, 99
Who should they draft? Oscar Clavarino at pick 43 would fit as a key defender. Hayden McLean with selection 68 as a big-bodied key forward may be one of the key talls available later in the draft. With pick 75, WAFL star and former Fremantle rookie Haiden Schloithe would be a suitable get to give Hawthorn's midfield an immediate boost as arguably the best all-around midfielder outside the AFL system, with his capacity to play forward a bonus.
Not sure Clavarino gets through to 43, but would be happy if we got him though - didn’t mind the look of him when I saw him this year, nice and rangy and a sound athlete, pretty good overhead as well, like all the KP prospects though, there is more margin for error in terms of projecting how they will develop so there are risks. I think he is a key defender at this stage but could become a guy that can play forward as well
Noah Balta from Calder is another KP prospect that we might get a look at (think he gets snapped up before 43 though) I like him more as a key back as opposed to a key forward at this stage
He has his fans but Hayden McLean does nothing for me I’m afraid, too slow and lacking in agility, not great skills either - if he was a key forward he would be one of those guys who needs to get it first time or he will be out of the contest, too much of a liability

A key forward at 43 in this draft probably isn’t going to be worth targeting considering that they’ll most likely be a project player(which we already have two of in Lewis and Nash). Better off waiting 12 months for a shot at a worthwhile investment.pick 43: key forward
pick 68: midfielder
pick 75: midfielder
pick 81: pass
pick 99: pass
Another KP prospect that played well as a bottom ager last year is Nathan Krueger 195cm can play back and forward. Tested well in agility and running vertical jump at Combine. Seems like a Brand/O'Brien type of selection.

Only saw Krueger the one time and that was vs Vic Metro in the Champs, looked a lively type, good athlete and a nice set of hands, played forward that night, looked like a natural forward in that he led to good spots and found himself space inside F50

For sure.If Tim Kelly is still available at our first pick, anyone think he could be worth a shot?
WCE will take him with one of their 3 picks in the 20s.If Tim Kelly is still available at our first pick, anyone think he could be worth a shot?
I've being doing a bit of reading, in particular Bishops phantom draft.
I thought ni we need some more outside run and carry at our first pick.
Like the look of Jackson Ross - tall running wingman with a decent right foot, and can use his left also.
Handy size for an outside runner at 192.
Bishop has him going at 36, but plenty of interest from Port at 46 apparently so def in range if we are looking for this sort of player
Whereabouts is Bishops phantom? Can't seem to find it on his thread, only the first round or so

Wallace reckons we should take James Worpel if available.
Nothing more certain Wrighty will take someone else even if Worpel is available.
Considering that we like blokes who can kick, Worpel is the last guy that I could see us drafting - he is a hard working mid who wins plenty of contested footy but his ball use (particularly by foot) is dreadful.
