If Crows and Cats had home prelims, you would be almost safe to assume its a Crows-Cats GF.

That would be one for the ages.

Worst case scenario for us in terms of possible grand finals if we were to make it.

We're sitting in 1st spot after 12 games, you are all excited but looking far too ahead right now. We have 10 more games and some of them are going to be pretty difficult ones like the game vs Essendon away from home, that is one game I dread the most because when they turn it on they are as hard to beat as anybody.

When Adelaide next lose a game, then all the blame goes on the coach, on Mackay, etc etc etc.

You cannot win them all. This season there is a chance for us to finish in the top 4 so we have to be fearless and take some risks in order get out there and earn it and then in the finals go for it as hard as you can.
Nope, booking tickets now!! Dammit leave me my fantasy in June

Gee you're up an about after jumping out the sick bed

Don't need codral, just a Port win :D

lol :p

I definitely have a virus. :( Hence my slow posting day.:$ :p

It cost me money though, was going to hit the Dons yesterday SU and 40+ but was waiting for the Lions result but fell asleep. Actually spent most of the day yesterday in bed asleep.:(

The great thing is the supporters can get excited. It is the reason we have such passion for the game. You don't end up being 9-3 and top of the ladder by being a spud side.

The playing group and coaching staff know what is required, they don't give a rats toss bag what we are thinking.

For some perspective, at the end of round 12 last year - North were on top with 10-2 then Geelong, Sydney, Bulldogs and Hawks all followed with 9-3 and GWS and Adelaide were 8-4 with West Coast rounding out the 8 with 7-5.

If we are to play in a GF in 2017, GWS/Cats/Dogs are our likely opponents. All have weapons that can kill us.

I would arguably say though I would prefer us to play the Cats then GWS or Dogs tbh in a GF.

Hmmm while I agree it doesnt apply to us.

North were sitting pretty before their bye last year.

We say it all the time, but you can't win games purely on talent.

Coaching is super poor, attitude is even worse. They have 10 times the talent of anybody but are playing like they believe the flag is won already. Granted they've got plenty missing but still.

The AFC will have a press conference during the week to talk about the importance of non-statistical roles.

400kay is definitely unlucky.

TBH, Shaun Burgoyne is very unlucky not to be in here. He is a star. Well ahead of Akermanis to start

I've mentioned it on here before however I've heard from someone at GWS that the playing group isn't as tight as they should be and the Coaches have to manage a lot of rock star egos amongst those who were selected as high end talent

Who gives a shit about the VFL?

Any list should start from when AFL started or count the SANFL and WAFL as well .

But it's pretty pointless anyway. There is nothing to compare then with now - no stats that are transferable ala batting average in cricket.

The adverts for the Hall of Fame presentation just remind me of how much I hate the way the Hall of Fame is done.

They should split it up - give the committee to nominate 2 oldies (ie pre 1990s) and maybe the "legend" (and FWIW I hate the legend concept) and have a vote for those eligible now like in the NBA, NFL etc

Committees are shit.

I think 7 teams would relish GWS on GF day. Their Melb form is no great shakes. They'll lose their first regardless the opponent.

You didn't see a lot of Akermanis' obviously, apart from being a total d1ckhead on and off the field he is one of the silkiest skilled players to ever play the game. Absolute champion of the game.
