Sorry which area would you see Bassett being the best to coach. The obvious is backline but I wonder if he could add a dour defensiveness to our midfield with enough offensive flair still.

Well he's had a bit of experience as a head coach so I don't think it's unreasonable to assume a bit of versitility. But it's hard to say he'd definitely make a good midfield coach. Though put it this way, I'd much prefer to see someone with an eye for the game running our midfield than someone who has time and again proven not to be up to the task in Campo. So I'll say midfield. Our backline is okay.

In the firing line are Kern, Dixon ("who may be the worst trade we ever made") and even (J)Anus is copping it as Kern's lapdog.

I think it's more about them having Port's first pick in the next draft, they want them to have a terrible year.

Maybe Dixon is a bit like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and does his best work when on the gear, but when cold sober, is run of the mill easy listening FM.
