If the decision Kelly has to make is between us and a premiership at GWS (which is what Paul Connors has been implying) then From Kelly's POV the pitch becomes interesting for us. Cash is a huge component but not the only component.

I would say to Kelly - premiership players are held in the highest esteem in our game. They are lauded as champions, have great careers post football and remember and cherish the moment for an eternity. Now what's the difference between GWS and StKilda? GWS are more likely to win a premiership. This is true. You will be a champion. You will have the premiership memories to share with your team mates and you will be remembered for a decade or so amongst 15k odd GWS fans in Western Sydney. If you win one at StKilda, a team who's battled for a century, with lifelong supporters who's pain and passion run deep in their veins. You will be a living legend for the rest of your days. The harder path is the more rewarding.

I think the pitch to Kelly should be is that he will be the difference for us and elevate us to a new level. He can get big money anywhere, but at North and Carlton they'd still be a while off with him in their midfield, especially North. He's exactly what we need and whilst 1 player doesn't magically transform a side, most of our younger players appear on the verge of making the big step, so those two factors combined I think he'd have the biggest influence at St Kilda. The same could be said for Essendon as well but I feel they're better placed for mids, and potentially wouldn't have the same cash.

Which means St Kilda out of the race. Someone asked him about it, pretty much said Kelly accepted our offer and then 8 seconds later seemingly Carlton came in and trumped it. And now Kelly has changed his mind because our training facilities are in the south pole and not the city or some shit

I don't think so, most people seem to acknowledge the fact that he's just a washed up, irrelevant pervert who tries to keep himself relevant by acting as if he's a part of the inner circle of the AFL, most of his followers are just teenagers though who (one would guess) think it's pretty cool to have some sort of connection on social media with someone who used to be famous in the AFL world.
