What are your thoughts on Mansell? I really liked him in the champs, hard worker and great tackler, is there a good chance he gets rookie listed? Now that the ND is over, I'll be taking North Melbourne father-son prospect Joel Crocker with my last pick in the rookie draft. Also pre-listing NGA prospect Matthew McGuiness as a Cat B rookie.
Snoop Dog
Small nuggety defender with some decent speed. He may be little but he definitely brings the aggression. He's worth a rookie spot for those wanting to have a crack. Played in the seniors at North Launceston along with Thomas so he'd be ready to go.What are your thoughts on Mansell? If he had not have got injured, maybe. He was rookie at best for mine, but the injury late in the year means he's out for all of next year (in terms of AFL/VFL calculations), so you're more likely to leave him and if he has a good season next year, pick him up then.Do you think Kyle Clarke from the Bushragers is worth an NGA Cat B rookie spot? Any ideas or info you or Bishop might have as to what the tiges might do in the draft this year?If he had not have got injured, maybe. Bit of a quick phantom draft analysis and fun.
Pick 5 players underrated in your opinion.
Pick 5 players overrated in your opinion.
Phantom draft participants obviously can't nominate their own picks- we don't drink our own bath water here. Also no personal comments about drafters. This is a subjective exercise.
If you've ever talked to recruiters, if they say they like someone, then immediately cross them off the list. If they say another club is interested in them, move them to the top, or take them more seriously. With live pick trading, it's a lot more smoke and mirrors this year. I'd imagine given your picks you'll go best available, with a focus on picking up at least one inside midfielder in the draft (where there are plenty).Any ideas or info you or Bishop might have as to what the tiges might do in the draft this year?
Unfortunately no live rookie picks for me. But I will be taking Jason Carter and Tom Medhat as Category B rookies. So I'll do write ups for them at some point.
I thought Carter might go in the ND here just on account of speed.the 2 steals of the draft, Jason Carter is very quick and skillful(elite agility and speed/has a Cyril look to his movements) and Medhat is a quality medium forward, now you get them for free
Can't believe Kyle Reid went through undrafted, way better than a rookie chance. Tough, no frills KPD with reasonable athleticism, excellent overhead and seems to know when to go the grab or spoil which I particularly like in a defender. So he'd definitely be in my underrated column along with small/medium forward GWV Rebel Charlie Wilson.Bit of a quick phantom draft analysis and fun.

I contemplated Reid with my pick 80 but Grundy is a bit taller and way more athletic for mine. He could definitely get drafted but I have him pegged more as a rookie. I like Wilson and I think he improved as the season went on but once I grabbed Cameron there was no need for a player who is predominantly a small forward. Can't believe Kyle Reid went through undrafted, way better than a rookie chance. Nope I won’t match.
Happy for him to go where the market seems for the purpose of this mock.
Want to take my other picks for the purpose of getting players names up where I / we think they may be picked .
I really like medhat and contemplated bidding on him at 60 but I was fearful that Chris would not match and I really wanted Pickett as a hard at it midfielder. At 80 and 85 tall options were available that I didn't think would be.
I am not as sold on carter. I think his best is good enough but a lot of times he looks like he goes through the motions for mine.
