I think we’ll win, but you know it’s England. Will be a close game you’d imagine

Mini Poll

You play for Colombia against England.
It goes to penalties, Colombia loses and you’re the only player who missed?
What do you do?

A) Take a short trip to Siberia
B) Live in a remote cave in Siberia
C) Take your chances back home

Reckon James will play some part

The Colombians are saying it's not a muscle tear but an 'accumulation of fluid' - as though it's less serious and he might play. But that can be worse than a calf strain. He missed most of the Japan game and only lasted 30 minutes against Senegal. I'll be surprised if they risk him.

If we switch on (especially Sterling, who needs to stop being useless) we have the pace and ability to score goals tomorrow.

Sterling has never done it for England. Give him more chance mainly because Rashford failed to deliver in the Belgium match. If we make it through and Sterling does FA again then Rashford has to come in

I wonder how much of Rashford not doing much against Belgium was deliberate, given the nature of the game.

Doubt Colombia can win if James doesn't play, but it is England so who knows

Colombia being a real threat in this match and progression further into the tourney depends on James being fit, not just making up the starting 11. I read a stat that 10 of the last 14 Colombia goals involved James in some capacity. He's the lynch pin.

England definitely the faves here and to make it through to the final from the bottom half. I'd go as far as to say now that without Germany (usually win their groups and would've been on this side of the draw) or Spain in their road, they have to be odds-on to play off for the trophy. Anything less is a failure, and a massive wasted opportunity.
