Easter Monday at kp. No more rules for some. We have 11 home games all in Geelong

I am a Melbourne based cats member and I want 11 home games in Geelong.

Good on you bud for putting the clubs best interest before your own unlike some posters on here.

Other teams put in requests to move home games to Tassie, Darwin, Ballarat, Carins, China etc, we put in requests pleading to not have our home games moved. You've got to laugh at that.

Yep we are a systematic bitch.

9 at home and 2 at MCG. Finals can be at MCG if we play Victorian based clubs as long as we are allowed to play any interstate team at our home ground come finals

We should be getting 11 game + any final we earn the right to... but the only way I'd be slightly happy is if we got all interstate clubs plus the 5 minnow clubs in Hawthorn, WB, NM, St Kilda and Melbourne as well.

I just think that 9-2 model fits the best for 2018.

I get the 11 home game theory - but with members in Geelong and Melbourne - im just not sure that we'll get 11 straight from the AFL.

Anyway - we shall see how badly we get reamed.

I'm a Melbourne member, we're not the reason the AFL schedules home games up here. It's because Hawthorn and North play 7 games in tasmania between them. Geelong needs to be contractually obligated to KP, that way the AFL can't move the games away.

Not sure from a commercial point of view we will ever have the full 11 home games, the club will want to do the 9/2 model so they can say to Melb based members we have these games for you to attend.

I'm a melb based member; its not an issue because we play enough in melb with all the melb based clubs. So I suspect that we'll play just two home games in melb; Coll, Haw and all the rest will have to make the journey like they used to. I enjoy traveling down but some of the fixturing is difficult like the following; thurs night, Sunday night games, sat at 1.10pm. Up to 3pm Sunday is ok.

I've always called it KP.

Every other grounds have accommodated their name changes, except ours.

I'm waiting to see how the AFL abbreviate GMHBA Stadium in the fixtures for next season - can you abbreviate an abbreviation and can it GS or will they put GMHBA S on the fixtures?

I think 9-2 is our best option. And it should be the only option for the AFL at the very least.

All 11 at home would be nice, but playing the large Melbourne teams in Geelong is not good for the game.

Though, that said, both the pies and hawks will see the bottom of the ladder for a few years you'd think.

Nope. #### Easter Monday someone else can have it. Hawthorn aren't worth any MCG games we have to play there. Only interested in playing Pies, Tigers and or Bombers at the G. No one else anywhere near justifies it.

Nope, everyone comes down. No home games in Melbourne. If Hawthorn wants to play us down here on Easter Monday they can, but we should not compromise for certain clubs, all clubs come down the highway.

We can want that all we like. It's not going to happen or not next year anyhow. Get to a 9-2 situation and demand Carlton and Hawthorn come to Geelong for their away games. That's a good start compared to the current situation. Then gradually work at increasing capacity further then ask for the full 11.
