Still no sponsorship news from Alberton?

Renualt cut ties with them back in September and here we are five months later with only four weeks until the start of the preseason games and there's still no sponsor

I think Geoffa might be right that there is no new sponsor to replace Renault and they've just put Oak on the front in lieu of not being able to find a 2nd major sponsor.

Taxes and costs associated with travelling and training?

I read a good ESPN article a few years ago about tennis players out of the top 50 barely breaking even. The article said most guys need to earn over 1mill USD to make money in a year.

Depends on where they're paying their tax. I believe the US has a much higher tax rate for high income earners than Australia.

There are definitely expenses involved in earning that income - travel, training, medical, etc. I have no idea how much he actually has available to him. We do know he likes driving around in expensive cars, so he's doing a lot better than just "breaking even".

It is one of my favourite times of the year on BF as all the amateur accountants analyse our finances down on the Port board.

The angst over our results makes for some good lolz.
