Would take Hanners up on the GC as a bit of a midfield leader which we need. Hook back up with Dewy and Malceski.

Just how many kids do you want? ... so yes ... to stop the bleeding add some matures for a while.. use a season up getting Gold Coast back to being a competitive group... then you start to add in the kids you have drafted..

So for mine Id look at gathering multiple FA's if they will come.. and a couple of mature trades. Not meant to be insulting but its not about Premierships atm for GC its about getting out of the bottom 6 sides. Not too old..25-27 ...

This is why I have said id ask the afl to expand the list.. you add kids and let them mature add them around the others and gradually let them take over. Ideally you don't want too many guys with minimal future absorbing list spots so an expanded list would be quite beneficial. If that is not allowed one may have to be more selective and aggressive. Id even see what P2 and P3 would get offered if you are willing to trade them.

North: trade current 4th round (pick 54) for Richmond's Shai Bolton

GWS: trade current 1st and 2nd round (picks 8 and 24) for North's Preuss and first round pick (pick 13)

North: trade current 1st round (pick 8) for Freomantle's Adam Cerra

Geelong: trade tim kelly and 1st round (pick 14) for Freomantle's pick 8.

Which player are we getting at 8 that is worth Kelly and the player we would have got at 14? I cant see much value in that type of trade unless we get someone like MaxKing if he slides.. and you will not know if he slides till the draft...

Your guess is as good as mine. Depends whether he’ll ever be fit again. Has never been the same since that tackle in the 2016 GF (which apparently was “fine” by the umps). I’d personally be still wanting a 3rd rounder though.
Was not a tackle you nuff, both going for the ball its just that wood went lower and was there first.

And harder. Wouldn't touch Hanners. If he played as hard on the field as off it he would be a beast.

Suns fans out there. If you guys lose Lynch would you be up for the following trade:

Saints: Bruce and Weller for 2018 WCE 1st round pick (currently 16). Saints also agree to pay for Bruce's entire remaining contracted salary.

Suns get a ready made 35-45 goal per season key forward and frees up your cap to pay more to your talented young core.

Bruce and Weller are worth nothing that trade would never get accepted

You’re right it wasn’t a tackle. Wood went to ground and took out his legs. It’s exactly the kind of action (and resultant injury) that the rule is intended to deter.

Would love Hanners at the Saints .
Take your pick which ruckman you want ?

Pass on the ruckman but would take a solid player or say a 3rd. Actually have a few ticks. Sinclair has been very good in 2018.

Adelaide: Pick 1 and 26
Carlton: Pick 8,13,19

Blues then essentially have 8,13,19,23 to build with seeing their next pick isn't till the #60s.

Plus if the AFL gives them an end of 1st priority then that would be 5 picks in the top 25 - which is a pretty good opportunity to set up the future.... if they don't stuff it up.

Lol people writing off trades for pick 1 lol. Carlton won’t give it up for anything but insane overs.

If I had pick 1 the only picks I trade it for are pick 3 (so I get one of top mids in Walsh or smith) and pick 4-6 so I can get one of the kings.

Carlton will have years still to collect the types of talent that fall in the 8+ pick range

They may not have another chance to grab the type of talent pick one offers in this draft

They’ll probably have the 2019, 2020 and 2021 first pick going by the way they played yesterday

Should honestly consider trying to lure 2 gun midfielders around Cripps’ age with their next two first rounders.

To recent examples if they hadn’t signed on, Josh Kelly and Ollie Wines.

I actually rate some of the tall backs and forwards they have, so throw in two elite mids to join cripps and the entire side starts to look better.

Obviously that's not going to happen.

Carlton have a massive number of things to improve. One young player is meaningless. Add him to an incredibly thin talent pool, and chances are you'll cripple his development, like what has happened with Weitering.

They should look to get as much top 20 talent as they can over the next three years. Just adding one a year won't change anything.

So this Lukocious kid is apparently an absolute lock for pick one with Sam Walsh half a level below then daylight to that next tier again.

WHY THE **** WOULD CARLTON WANT TO TRADE OUT THIS OPPORTUNITY?

Lukocious allows Curnow to play on a 3rd defender whilst Walsh would help aid the depleted Blues midfield.

I just dont get it!

Not worth it if the kid only stays for 2 or 3 years then wants to go back home to SA

While if they had 4 or 5 picks in the first 25 they could have a young draft group to work with Cripps, Curnow etc.

If i was SOS i wouldnt be trading #1 and would take Jack Lukocious
Curnow,Lukocious,McKay are your 3 talls

But the biggest problem this creates for SOS is that it makes his 2 sons not required , Jack Silvagni in my eyes wont make it and is looking less likely by the day but is being gifted games to try to get him playing a midfield role but doesnt look suited at AFL level.

Ben Silvagni didnt really do much in the game against South Australia and also looking like a plodder and probably wont get drafted if wasnt for his surname and with Curnow,McKay,Lukocious there is no room for him

Carlton #1 for Adelaide's 1st round, Melbourne's 1st round (owned by Adelaide) and Adelaide's 4th rounder

Curnow, Silvagni, Kerr, McKay, Casboult, De Koning (2nd ruck)/Phillips (2nd Ruck).
We will pick Ben with our 5th rounder as a Key Defender

Cant see the players that i have highlighted on your list in 3 years time
Phillips/Casboult - Both retired or Delisted
Kerr and Silvagni are way too slow and dont have elite traits and are average footballers that wont fit into a foward line with Curnow,McKay & Lukocious
