Funny how De Koning looked a fair bit taller than Luke Jackson in the 1st rounders photo taken today.

If he adds another 2-3cm on the 20 he has grown in the last 20 months he will be of very decent ruck size.

He is pretty agile for a big man too. Needs to build his frame quite a bit and we can see why we jumped in before Port and Carlton. He potentially be a Taylor replacement or he could even be a Hawkins replacement also.
We know big men take abit longer to develop so hopefully we can give him the time he needs

Unless as others have suggested he really emphasised the point to clubs that he's real interest was playing for WCE and that he would request a trade a first opportunity - and thus he believes he's sitting pretty until WCE get to their first selection and they call out his name

That's about my guess for how things go for the first 6 picks. I honestly think Geelong have had their fill of WA 'go home' crybaby drama for now, so I just think that they don't want to get involved in the drama with WC all over again. If we get Sharp, I'm fine with that anyway. WA kid, but no links to coaches or current/past players, like Robertson. Would even be happy with Sokol or Riccardi, if we went a bit early.

The thing with Robertson is his uncle is the list manager at Weagles, Darren Glass. That may indicate a flight risk and no doubt the Eagles will come hard for him wherever he goes.

I don't think he is a flight risk. Looks a loyal kid that will go hard at it once crossing the white line.
Recruiters must see limited upside and poor kick. I on the other-hand think he is a solid choice now with any pick beyond 21.
However, I think we should address outside speed in the next pick, J Sharp all the way.
