He's pretty bloody average, I'd be stunned if he makes it at AFL level as a forward. I appreciate we are light on for talls, but stocking up on sub-par talls isn't the answer either.

Clearly I had NFI & from then on I left watching the kids & selecting them to the experts at the club.
They know a hell of a lot more than us.

Even most experts at the clubs rated Tom Swift higher than Sidebottom and Beams, it's not an exact science.

Kelly has played about 3 games in 18 months and has an underdeveloped physique. He would absolutely not be picked ahead of Riccardi if the choice was between them.

Might want to have a look at recent pics. He had an ankle injury so clearly spent a lot of time in the gym. HE is comfortably ahead of Riccardi - all moot now though as usual we took the best available as we see it.

100% this. Not sure who we wanted (safe to assume it was probably Taheny), but whoever it was was taken between Bianco and pick 55. It definitely wasn't Riccardi.
