Watford making a charge.. 9 wins out of 10 I think, but got a tricky run home playing 4 teams currently in the top 6.
I dont think we will make the automatic places but should get in the play offs

AFC Wimbledon just scored their 5th draw in the last six games but this one against Charlton Athletic felt a bit different, even if it means they dropped another spot lower in relegation for now. Longman's second goal was a complete seagull effort but it was still a really entertaining game and if they keep playing like this then the Dons will be in League One in 21/22.

Unusual to have so many teams near the bottom (4 points separating 16th and 22nd) to have so low GD.

Huuge dropped points again from Lincoln this morning, Sunderland/Posh/Hull looking likely to be the two from three for autos now.

Looking ahead I think next weekend Sunderland play Posh Established1870 so that will be huge for your boys and for mine.

That felt like a massive must win for Wimbledon, we just had to get more than one point tonight.
It looked like a goal was just a matter of time in the first half and then the break reversed everything and Northampton looked way more likely to score for a solid half hour.
It settled late and Wimbledon finally scored from a corner in the 88th minute... and then concede a hand ball from the very last play of the day.

Have the Dons rented out 24 yr old (NZ) goalkeeper Tzanev a lot the last few years? Because he's been on our list since 2016, tonight was his 4th appearance and I have absolutely no idea who he is... except of course he is a legend . Dove low and right when he needed to and saved Wimbledon the 3 points.

Sorry I know no one needs or wants a full run down of the game but don't be surprised if that is the two points that keep us in League One for another season.

Tricky fixture though so a draw isn't horrible, but that win from Peterborough is scary.

Yeah agreed - we came to the league leaders with a gameplan and were lucky to get away with it. We nearly scored at the end as well.

Every season we flirt with both the playoffs and the relegation zone so we're in the right place.

The Cumbrians team have been struggling of late, Carlisle have lost their last three and are now out of the running for a playoff spot, the month without a game, and not being allowed to training for a period, has totally destroyed any momentum we had through the first half of the season. As for Barrow, they may be the unluckiest team every relegated it it happens, they are still a game ahead of Southend with games in hand, but they are have lost their last two and not playing well. What's amazing is they have a goal difference of -4 which is incredible considering they have lost 18 game to date, and the three teams around them all have a goal difference worse than -15.

Carlisle managed to have a win this morning defeating Crawley 2-0 at home. Crawley had 60% of the possession but Carlisle dominated the shots on goal 19-4. We are now up to 11th, six points outside the playoff spots, still with one or two games in hand over the teams above us.

Took a liking to Southend after spending a day in the town and watching them at Roots Hall back in 2014. Sad state of affairs

The build it and they will come piece in the clip is quite interesting and dumb on the owners part.

No point having a nice 20k seat modern stadium and not being in the football league. No point investing time and money into that project and not paying players. Crazy stuff

It's always sad to see long established clubs fall like Southend, but a season in the National League isn't the worst thing that can befall them in the current climate.

Darlington did something similiar about 15-20 years ago, built a stunning 25,000 seat stadium but got themselves in such a financial state that they were eventually expelled from the football league. The Stadium has been a bit of a white Elephant ever since.
