No idea. All the intel suggests Adelaide want him but want to pay zip. Hopefully Port want him too, and are prepared to pay better. Seems a low chance of remaining from everything written - but no inside info here.Hey whats happening with hately? has he been offered a contract, think he will resign? what do you guys think would be the asking price like rory atkins compo seems it will be band 3 land after our second rounder would that be enough with all the f/s and academy picks it might not be

Seems unlikelyDo we try something bold like a Harry Himmelberg for Rory Laird? If we lose the players mooted plus the odd surprise we should be able to accomodate it. Laird would be a good replacement for Heater, we haven’t seen enough from Cumming to suggest he can do this.
Daw as a KPD depth option I really like as well, I know it's a similar role to Keeffe but I'm more confident in DawCannot believe there is still talk in the media that Giants should sound out Preuss.
If it's an insurance ruckman that's required Daw is light years ahead of Preuss in that role. I'd reckon Majak is an even money chance to get picked up somewhere as a DFA.

Doubt it was rushed... he just signed the offer in front of himI think Himmelberg will be traded once / if Jezza resigns. However if doesn't resign then he stays
The other rushed signing of TOJ hasn't helped

And he did deserve a contract extension. I don't see the issue
I'd hate to lose O'Halloran as I've stated, but Witherden instantly improves us and is young enough that he could be here for a decade so it'd be a win/winPopped over to the Lions Board and asked about the gettability of Witherden. They agreed he could go and one suggested trade would be a straight swap for O'Halloran. I like it. We wouldn't get much in a regulation trade for him but Witho would provide an elite kick coming out of defence and I think our back 6 needs that. Him in and Shaw out is a decent replacement IMO
What do you guys reckon?

Disagree about whether he should've got a contract extension, but I agree - it would've been some time in construction, it only seems "rushed" because none of us were expecting it.Doubt it was rushed... he just signed the offer in front of him

we need the certainty of players signing onYes, deserves but my opinion could've held off until end of Sept.
Hopefully we know Jezza's intentions within the next 2 weeks

HH could easily move down back to replace Corr.He seems the odd man out at the moment with Riccardi emerging. I doubt he would want to be posted down back, even though he played there early doors and I think could be good.
Id imagine he signed for good money so that could also help, I like him as a player but he was very ordinary this year and should have been dropped weeks before he got chopped.
Healy: Jeremy Cameron?
McClure: Staying.

McClure: Staying
It's the off-season, he's headed back to visit his parents. The perennial hater of all things Orange the mutt that is Bob Murphy has stated Cameron gone “to somewhere in Victoria.”
To be honest the cupboards look pretty bare if thats the list. The only one I like there is Ladhams but think it is seriously unlikely he comes over. Flynn and Briggs for 2021 it is... (which I DON'T really think is a good thing)Some Ruck options with some not very likely but based on the need for a experienced 1st ruck and not a back up and all come with the fact that it would need to be a financially enticing offer to get them to move from the current club to Sydney
Games played could be wrong as the app I use doesnt update
Any others that could be options please let me know
Frampton Age 23 3 games
Moved across town in Adelaide last year and originally from Perth, I think more a forward ruck and the same age as Flynn and very much unproven so unlikely but depending on how he has played in the SANFL/Reserves games he could be a option
Smith 25 11 games
McInerney 26 37 games
With Brisbane even if Martin does go around next year I can see both staying on the list with Oscar next in line and Smith has been on the list as a back up for 7/8 years I cant see either leaving as they will both be getting games into the foreseeable future
Cameron 25 9 games
Lynch 22 1 game
I dont think either of the Pies rucks are an option with Cameron just moving last year and as a back up to Grundy and Lynch is still developing IMO
Phillips 29 41 games
Would have been good to have kept him around as back up but salary cap forced him out but he would he handy for a couple of years as he is the perfect age and would be cheap in terms of salary but I cant see the Bombers letting him go as he is their backup for Draper
Stanley 29 133 games
Fort 27 3 games
Stanley is a limited ruck and with soft tissue injuries I think better options are around but he is a good age and experienced but again the injury ?s and the Cats would need to bring in a ruck and I think the Cats would force an overs trade for a young mid
Preuss 25 18 games
Probably the most talked about ruck in the upcoming trade period and he has been talked up and down in the media and I dont think he has shown much but that could be untapped potential, if he comes at the right price in terms of trade and salary it would be an improvement on this years options
Goldstein 32 234 games
He would have been the difference the last few years but he will never move with his family IMO
Ladhams 22 13 games
He has shown promise IMO and he could be an option with Port likely to be under some salary pressure at the end of the year with the need to re-sign some of the exciting youngsters they have and if it is enough to shake someone loose but they do seem to be a tight group and it could also be what is said to Ladhams about his role going forward with Dixon and Marshall as forward rucks and Lycett as the main man he could see an opportunity for game time with the Giants as a positive
CCJ 21 1 game
Not an option IMO with hsi age and expereince he is basically a Briggs and with the off-field incident I cant see the club looking at him
Hickey 29 102 games
Fits the age profile but another with soft tissue injuries that could be an issue and not really sighted this year with only 3 games but he would be a cheapish option but the age and $$s would make it possible if he can be enticed to Sydney but it could depend on if the coaches see Williams as the NN replacement
Vardy 29 68 games
Not sighted this year with others preferred and i could see retirement for him
Appears we have offered Zac over $700k for 5 years, which is pretty fair IMO. In that case the cap space is not an issue to bring in a ready to go 1st ruck.
