Would have been good a few years ago but his kicking has well and truly gone and we've just gotten rid of one turnover merchant back there in M Williams.Might be a good move for 1 year as a player/coach. He’s got rat cunning and you will be so young next year. If I’m North I’d take him for sure.
He's still an above average small defender. You just don't want the ball in his hands coming out of defence.I thought he had a good year this year after looking cooked at various stages last season. Fantastic one on one competitor. Rarely beaten.

Great newsCaldwell staying I believe, would indicate O'Halloran is more likely to leave now
Also where is this coming fromCaldwell staying I believe, would indicate O'Halloran is more likely to leave now
Yes, 100%.The fact Butters went directly after Caldwell and Clark went directly after Hately, both play positions we're weak in at the moment, still keeps me up at night.
Saints are heavily into Taranto according to Matthew Lloyd and Caro.
I'd ask the question about Marshall if they come for TimmyWe will need to lose one of the mids, we are too slow. If it was Taranto as a contracted former Pick 2 and Club Champion they would want to pay an absolute bomb. Minimum would be 2 first rounders.

It would be something like 13 this year - pushed back to 16 by FA compensation picks, then pushed to about 20 by academy matches. Next year, with TT in the side, it would again be high teens before any FA compo & academy matches. No-one on their list - that they're willing to trade - nets them a pick any earlier.I would be happy enough with two first rounders and for us to try to get up high and try to get Will Phillips who is an absolute jet.

That would be a terrible result for GWS!
It would have to be two high first round picks for me, I'm talking a top 5 and an additional top 10, won a BnF in a grand final team at 21, only down this year because of the awkwardness with his return (No practise or reserves matches) and contracted or a Marshall/ Clark with a 10-20 first rounder.GS it’s all speculative, the club could come out tomorrow and shut it down but I would say the actual number in regards to Next Gen and Academy matches is irrelevant as those players selected are unavailable.
We have previously garnered picks and targeted a specific player. A guy like Phillips could play round 1 next year and would be a contributor. I love the way he plays, it’s with a lot of purpose and he also has agility.
We could insist of two first rounders this year whereby they would have to engineer another and then use that collateral to trade up to the pointy end.
I like the idea of moving one of the high profile mids on as we are two samey samey and get frequently exposed. Not saying it has to be TT but it does need to be someone.
I agree with most of this except the JKelly bit. Kelly is probably our best player.I also make no secret of my Taranto love so feel free to let me know if it's coming off as rose tinted glasses, but I'd trade Kelly before Taranto, even with TTs down year this year I can't explicitly remember a game where he was bad rather than bad as a consequence of the team being bad, if that makes sense. His consistency and repeat efforts are second to none in this midfield, a lot of our other mids I agree are one dimensional, that's why I want to start using Green, Caldwell and O'Halloran more through there as players with different PODs, but Taranto plays like a future captain of the club and is someone I see as essential now and going into the future. Much like I wouldn't trade Taylor unless we're getting ridiculous value, I'm not trading TT unless we're getting a similar quality player (comparatively if they play a different position) and a good pick/s
