Sorry I read your post as Corr was not going home to his native state - ie lumping him in with Williams.
In regard to contracts I don't think we know what Corr was offered at GWS nor wherever he's going.
Likewise we don't know the contract differential between the GWS and Geelong offers for Cameron - given GWS have not even made the decision whether to match.
He also got a very generous offer that we were not in a position to match. Half his luck. Not true re Corr GG. He's a Victorian returning home just as Cameron is. He doesn't deserve to be judged differently to Cameron.
Assuming GWS match and a trade is sort what type of player/s would GWS be looking for?
In terms Geelongs list:
Young best 22:
Clark: Outside mid/defender
Parfitt: Defensive inside mid
Henry: Dour medium defender
Simpson: Medium sized accumulator
Kolodjashnij: Undersized KPD
Noting Simpson and Henry are F/S
Regulars: Guthrie, Menegola, Stewart, O’Connor.
Everyone else I think would be too old or of little value. So what exactly would GWS need or be looking for it to be the right deal?

Personally, and obviously I may think differently to the club's recruiters, there's a very limited selection that I'd be after (no offence to Cats, just what fits our list demographic and needs):Assuming GWS match and a trade is sort what type of player/s would GWS be looking for?

- Parfitt: more so if Jye departs, although personally I'm not seeing him as really a lot different to the Taranto/Caldwell type we already have
- Clark: that wing/HBF which is where we now have a hole given Shaw & Williams departing. But I get that he's from WA and why would he opt to come to NSW except if we sell him strongly that he'll be best 22 the moment he steps foot in the club (which TBH I reckon he would!).
In short, Clark would be the only one that really interests me; otherwise, I'd be asking for your first 2 picks.

That’s fair enough but I disagree. I don’t like ward on a wing either. But he only played a few games at half back and I want to reserve my judgement there. In terms of cogs as a tagger.... you just cannot be serious. He butchered the ball a lot this year and it was hard to watch. But I think he has enough credits in the bank to get another go around in the middle. I think his forward work is serviceableI did not like the look of Ward at all at HBF/Wing this year. Looked like a fish out of water and doesn't kick it well enough.
The better answer is to turn Coniglio into the highest paid tagger in history then use DeBoer mainly for depth - otherwise NEAFL. That frees up another midfield spot.
Then the other centre square rotations are out of Taranto/Green/Hopper/Caldwell.
As hard as it is to say I really think that Ward is surplus to requirements if the intention is to get midfield games into Green/Caldwell.
Really rate Clark.... he would be brilliant for usPersonally, and obviously I may think differently to the club's recruiters, there's a very limited selection that I'd be after (no offence to Cats, just what fits our list demographic and needs):

Rarely do trades involve players going both ways and that's because a player of value to the losing team almost never wants to leave the receiving team.
This will get done for picks, pick 11 is a given, slight haggle over the other first rounder but reckon it will get done quickly for the WCE first. Geelong get their man, still have a first rounder, albeit very late.
Gives both teams plenty of time to work other trades if they want to. Lucky Cameron wasn't going to Essendon! I feel for Brisbane with the Daniher trade
Yes, while there might be more huffing and puffing, I do expect that this will be the ultimate outcome. Anything less and we will have failed to extract reasonable value. Anything more would be a bonus.Rarely do trades involve players going both ways and that's because a player of value to the losing team almost never wants to leave the receiving team.

Kolo would be fine - I just doubt he'd want to leave. What about Kolodjashni? Him and at least a first round pick.
We'll wait and see. Unlikely if true, that they will sit on it too long. So, Saints board ITK reckons that Caldwell has told GWS that's he's off to them - just wants to tell a few teammates first, before it's announced. I guess we'll see soon enough.
If so, it's better than heading to Essendon - that would be a shitfight and a half. First round pick, neat, thanks.
Not taken. I can understand why Clark would be the only one you'd be super interested in. I think it would be a very low probability any players get shaken loose given the short turnaround for trading contracted players. I think that despite a bit of positing on both sides probably two firsts go your way. Kind of shame as I really wanted us to draft a kid like Perkins or maybe O'Driscoll.Personally, and obviously I may think differently to the club's recruiters, there's a very limited selection that I'd be after (no offence to Cats, just what fits our list demographic and needs):

I reckon getting Jezza will probably soften the blow a little. Not taken. I can understand why Clark would be the only one you'd be super interested in. Yeah not gonna lie I'd still make the trade for sureI reckon getting Jezza will probably soften the blow a little.
