Menegola is my number 1.I'd prefer Fogarty or Simpson to Ratagolea. No offence to him, but if Hogan & Preuss are coming in, plus Flynn & Briggs on the books already, I'm not seeing the need? Of course, Jordan Clarkstill my No 1 preference; or a third party trade with Brisbane for Witherden the second preference.PLAYERCARDSTART6Jordan Clark

I don’t think any of us want constable on the list. That’s a player who won’t get midfield time (so won’t play) a first rounder outside the top 5 (so it might as well be 13) and a second round selection... no chance that deal happensThoughts on this deal?
Geelong trade picks 13, 20 and 37 to Carlton for picks 8 and 29 (Carlton to use one of the high picks to get Saad and keep the other one)
Then trade picks 8, 29 and a fringe player (say Constable) to GWS for Cameron and pick 43.
If we weren't already (and I doubt we would've been) in contact with him this is the time, if he's willing to move to a state that isn't VIC we need to sell NSW to him, he's a Heath ShawWEST COAST REGISTERS INTEREST IN WITHERDEN

How about a three way with Fremantle. You give them 18 for hogan, then give Hogan and 11 for cameron.[QUOabout re_Ownage, post: 67763414, member: 72541"]
I think players will want to come youre a good club.
What types of players do you think your list needs? My observations would be you maybe want a young kry defender and a ruck and they are the two weakest areas of our list so i cant see an obvious player swap there. I could only see a player working if its a 3 club trade where we help you get a player from somewhere else but interested to hear your thoughts. To me draft picks seem to be a more obvious swap.
When it comes to a deal with the cats a little surprised Lachie Fogarty's name hasn't come up given Caruso rated him highly in his draft year as well the close ties to the Ward family.
Sam Menegolais the premier player out of all of those names, but I just don't see him as in any way realistic to come to Sydney. He has a guaranteed spot in the Cats 22, a West Australian so any move more likely to be west rather than north, and he's looking for more $. Interesting how they said most discussions are amicable etc
Wonder if Geelong are throwing a tantrum like their supporters
Does your club have its own trade podcast? thats neat.
Yes, personally I'm not a fan of the 'we want a player' - unless you've essentially already courted a specific player. I understand why they want a more experienced player rather than just another draft pick - and it does highlight the ongoing limitation of the current ''national comp''.Not to mention menegolas dad is the sport news director for channel 7 in melb..i can see him leaving (more next year than now) for $ as its his last big deal but i reckon he goes to another victorian club.
To be fair the names you suggested are perfectly reasonable the difficulty is players here have more power than the NBA..kids like miers and henry grew up barracking for the club..zuthrie has his brother here..simpson and bews are father sons and blicavs family is best friends with guthries. Apart from blitz i think we would trade any of them to you but i doubt they will agree to go.
Its more likely guys moving for opportunity like constable narkle fogarty etc could be more easily convinced.
Unless of course this ends up being one of those giant multi club trades where we move those guys to a club they want to go to which gets you player x from that club.
Trade Radio just threw out this idea for the Hogan trade:
Cameron to Geelong for Pick 13, 20, Ratugolea & Narkle
We then trade our Pick 43 and Narkle onto Fremantle
Fremantle sends Hogan to us.
Understand what was mentioned earlier that the trade has already been agreed but who knows.
So GWS get: Hogan, Ratugolea, pick 13, pick 20
GWS lose: Cameron, pick 43
Geelong get: Cameron
Geelong lose: Ratugolea, Narkle, pick 13, pick 20
Fremantle get: Narkle, pick 43
Fremantle lose: Hogan
Seems reasonable. I think you probably deserve more for Cameron but it might be hard to prise any more out of Geelong.
You could always try switching 13 and 20 for Carlton’s pick 8, depending on how your recruiters value the bottom half of the top ten of this draft. If they don’t think there’s much difference between the guys that are 6-15 then there wouldn’t be any point in moving up.
Does your club have its own trade podcast? thats neat.
To be fair Alison Zell could run this club. She pretty much does everything from game day on field crosses to interviews with the coaches mid week.
If there were life memberships for staff she would have one for sure
When you love your job, it's like you're not working at all!It does seem like days off aren’t a thing for her.
