I don't have much choice in the matter - it's like an unstoppable killing machine from the future

actual tumour may look different

And don't worry, I still get periods where I am angry and sad. But I'm extraordinarily lucky, i set myself up financially years ago so i know the wife and dog won't ever have to worry again once I'm gone. The wife told me, "I don't want the money, i want you" which was heartbreaking because she was bawling her eyes out at the time, and quite frankly she can do better - hey, given the choice I'd rather live too, but i get to live now without worrying if they'll be okay.

Then i do a bunch of coke and I'm fine!

...I wanted to put a sad/sorry face emojii like the others did...

then i saw the last line about the coke.. and just had to “like” it!..

I'm not sure I could do the same.

Yes you can.

Deaneus' three easy steps:

Step 1: Just say "**** it"
Step 2: ???
Step 3: profit

Not sure whereabouts in Adelaide you are in. But Uber Eats does deliver Ice Cream from Gelatissimo. I can recommend a few flavours.

Feel rather sad, finding out you are not well.:(

Gosh I had some amazing laughs with you last year trolling the Blues on that infamous thread. You made it even better, by making out to them as if I ran this board ie acting like a mod, so they couldnt even complain about my posts.

South Brighton, and Blues supporters are dumb and deserve ridicule.

I see that Kennett has shamelessly stolen from the Chapman playbook. Contrary to his previous statements, he is now going to put himself forward again as Hawthorn President, "because COVID"! And, he is only President now because of some former CEO stuffup.
Beautiful stuff.

........So, we can now expect Chapman to trot out COVID as his next reason for staying on. ;)

I am fine, thank you (except for that pesky terminal illness thing).

I'll never work again (the best part of this whole thing)
Got my life insurance payout coming in the next week / income protection paid fortnightly until you-know-what, so $$$'s no problem thankfully
No holidays at the moment, can't fly anywhere... also can't drive, so buying that Lamborghini is pointless (and to think i could walk in to the dealership now and ask, "do you take cash?")

Rehab is for quitters!

Will have to cointinue being a funny bastard for now. Most annoying part is not knowing how long I've got. Not sure If I should give up and just eat ice cream, or do something new, and just eat ice cream. I wanted to finish writing a book, the end-of-life paperwork has taken me two months, i don't quite have the motivation right now.

You can still buy the Lambo..... I will volunteer to be your driver....

Hang in there Deaneus! hopefully you get to stick around long enough to see Donald Trump junior be president

I want Deaneus! to see Mackay's son captain the Club and be like his father and join the 200 Club.

Yes you can.

O’Doyal rules. Nice neck of the woods.

"We knew he was terminal but he didn't seem the type to take matters into his own hands"
*Dean comes out of 23 year coma*

Deaneus: "Does David Mackay still work at the Crows?"

Kent Brockman: "Sure, he's their tackling coach."

Deaneus: "Goodnight."

How the hell did Horn beat Pacquiao, completely outclassed by Tyzu
Tsuyu is unmistakably our next world Champion. Too much cunning from a very early age. Better than ufc this boxing caper.

Not even going to bother reading your dribble mate. Come back at me when you're not trying to convince me you have a crystal ball that perfectly predicts what would happen after a never before seen set of global circumstances

He doesn't need to. The actual events reveal that we suck. His speculation was responsive to people speculating that we'd actually be better with longer games despite all evidence demonstrating that margins widen the longer we play.

Anyone mentioned the article below? Now, where have I heard this sort of thing before?
  • "Coach whisperer"
  • "Belief is the most powerful energy you've got, the universe is the most powerful natural energy there is. With the two together, miracles happen"
  • "re-programming the subconscious mind"
  • "Stubbs, who is based on the Gold Coast"
  • "I haven't been to university, I've got no degrees, I spent 35 years researching human subconscious minds"

If the AFL continues to get dangerously involved in Social Reform issues .....it won't happen tomorrow, but these things have an inevitable outcome .....it is unfortunately a feature of human behavior that once you start a journey, you lose the ability to fully control the outcomes, albeit people always believe they can

We're seeing this with the AFLPA .....

Believe it or not, AFL players form part of the social web, along with supporters, AFL admin etc. Players want to use their platform these days to encourage positive social reform. How you can say that empathy and social awareness is an 'unfortunate human feature' is a bit beyond me. It's a normal human emotion to be apprehensive of change, you wouldn't be the first person in history, particularly as (i'm guessing) a privileged white male, to feel a bit powerless when your neat and tidy set of morals/beliefs get called into question.

It's partly self-delusion, partly denial, partly grief.

The facts are that this started long before COVID. COVID hasn't helped, but it's certainly not the reason for our current state of affairs.

Of course it is not the reason, but it's simplisitic to think a season full of four day breaks, no contact training sessions, short quarters, long periods in isolation or staying for long periods of time away from home can be compared it to a regular 22 round season.

As every single public figure has said in the last few months, these are unprecedented times.

We are obviously terrible, in the context of these circumstances. That is undeniable.

If you want to compare this unprecendented season to any other time, you're going to fail though. Next year, if we have a 22 round season and we still are winless, then we will be comapring apples and apples.

In the meantime, it is completely unknowable.

Well said.

I don't want to speak of Wayne's individual background, but I'm not sure how anyone could speak negatively of public figures likes sportsmen wanting positive social reform.
