Treloar and Stephenson for the Higgins and Brown picks (assuming both will be mid to late second round). Pay the full salary to get it done. 2 out 2 in. Not exactly like for like but two best 22 players for the next 5 years. Treloar would be a great support for LDU, Simpkin and Holland’s. With Anderson, Goldie and Cunnington it’s a formidable midfield. Certainly not bottom 2 as everyone thinks. Stephenson, Thomas, Zurhar, Garner, Taylor, Larkey Comben and Mahoney forwards. Dumont, Scott, W.Walker and Polec as wingmen. Lmac, Perez, hayden off half back. Taz, Corr Walker as the bigs. I am pumped to see that team live next year. Win or lose it’s exciting times.

what is all the crap about moving on #2 in the media. we take mcdonald and worry about the go home factor in 2 years time if it even eventuates. every one is saying Essendon should try and get pick 2 off us..... **** me arent they in Victoria also.. Pick Mcdonald North and build our future around him and Thomas etc etc

Ive always been sketchy on go home factors but generally that doesnt happen until mid 20’s.. by then, he will be the second best key forward behind larkey and may not want to leave, if he does.. his value will be huge.. its a win with little to no loss associated in picking him

In particular, Melbourne won't trade out their first next year in a draft that will have better transparency on player performance than this year (quite apart from whether Brown is worth a first rounder, which is highly doubtful in an OOC scenario)

No, btw i said two pics and a player for ooc fwd and pick. => not just for Brown. Its brown, salary offload and future third. They dont want tom mac but more importantly dont want his salary. So.. its a salary dump. We can do with the support he'll provide.
