Well, he is being talked about as pick 1 as well, we've just got no f***ing idea what Adelaide are gonna do.

I reckon Adelaide ... who have a a major hole at full forward ... will pick him.

But the way he's being talked about, there shouldn't be any dispute on that.

You'd think so.

I'll be rapt with Holland or DBG at #2.

I think so too but who knows with that club nowadays. It'd be funny to see some more supporter melts for them to reach for somebody (even Thilthorpe who is logical for them isn't what their fans seem to want).

So the crows are on a promise not to pick ugle-hanan at pick 1 !!!

Dogs, Crows pick up

THE Western Bulldogs and Adelaide could strike a pick swap that would help both clubs’ draft positions.
The Dogs have pick No.14 and are open to trading it as the selection will be absorbed by the club’s bid for freakish forward and next generation academy member Jamarra Ugle-Hagan.
Adelaide has picks 22 and 23 and could hand them both to the Dogs for No.14.
It would suit Adelaide’s desire to move higher up the draft order to get its hands on another top talent as part of the club’s rebuild.
It would also bolster the Dogs’ points balance for the Ugle-Hagan bid.
Pick 14 is worth only 1161 points whereas nabbing No.22 and No.23 from the Crows is worth 1660 to the Dogs.
To even out the pick swap the Dogs could give Adelaide their second pick, No.41, which is worth 220 points.
The Dogs would also hope the Crows do not bid on Ugle-Hagan at pick No.1, which would save the Dogs as many as 500 points on the bid.
North Melbourne (No.2), Sydney (No.3) and Hawthorn (No.4) are the next in line in the national draft order.

I’m torn on whether North should trade the pick down or not. I don’t believe they will.
Option 1 and potential outcomes
- Keep the pick and he turns into a superstar
- Keep the pick and he turns into a bust

Option 2 and potential outcomes
- Trade down to 6 and 7 and draft two really good players
- Trade down to 6 and 7 and draft one really good player and one bust
- Trade down to 6 and 7 and draft two busts

6 and 7 are just examples of what we could potentially get.

Out of the two options with their potential outcomes what are we most willing to live with?

I'm only thinking Adelaide takes Thilthorpe because he's a local kid and they've lost tons of players over the years with this whole go home factor.

McDonald has family in SA, he’s a pretty safe bet for them

Adelaide has never been conservative with their drafting and I'd doubt they'd change their process now when pick 1 is in their hands. If they take Thilthorpe it'll be because they rate him the best player in the draft.

Five goals in the 2017 prelim, turn it up Joyces.

Yeah a once off. Thanks for proving my point. He was flakey at best.

Majak once kicked 4 in a final too.

Prior to that game his previous multiple goal game was in RD10 against Freo. RD10 - Prelim...a lot of time between drinks for a player that was second fiddle to betts and largely a stay at home forward pocket.

The general consensus at the time was Brisbane paid overs for him. Then he really came into his own and he has been very consistent. Good on him. He put in the work.

Crows tried to actively “assist” saints in their offer to crouch to get themselves band 1......so if ya think for one minute they aren’t using the leverage of promises to not bid on JUH you’d be wrong. There would be all sorts of deals on the table.

All this bidding and academy shit invites so much potential for draft tampering that it should be discarded for that alone.
